hello, I am looking to open an account in a bank that accepts payment from a crypto exchange platform. I have already made transfers from Kraken with the intermediary Bank Frick and everything was fine (my bank probably did not see that it was used for payments relating to crypto) but now Bank Fick no longer wants to make payment to my country, the only ones that accept are Silvergate, but my bank blocks payments and return the money, because they do not want to work with sources relating to crypto and Silvergate claims that they specialize in crypto.

I want to open an account with Silvergate, it may not open an account for individuals, only businesses are accepted. And Bank Frick are very expensive and no longer want to work with my country.

Do you have a list of bank that allows retail clients to open accounts for most countries outside the European Union and the United States that wish to receive payments relating to crypto without having payment blocking? recommendations?

Thank Yous

You may take a look at Bitwala and Wirex. Since their activity is about blockchain banking services, there is no way for them to be 'anti-crypto'.

Otherwise, there are also Fidor bank, Revolut, Changeinvest.com, or Dukascopy but I'm totally unsure about the citizenship to open an account with Dukascopy (only from Swiss or foreign countries too).

The SEPA transfers between Fidor and Kraken used to be instant. Kraken's bank account was with Fidor.
Revolut has some crypto features, hence my suggestion but I never used it.
I only remember the name of Changeinvest.com but never looked at it seriously since I didn't any more to do it

Hope that help.

hi, thank you for your reply

I saw all these alternatives but it does not accept my country iam french but i live in Panama, I find an alternative with Advcash. i had tried wirex, i can open an account but i can't get a debit card, if i made a deposit i couldn't use the money .... The only viable alternative i found is to use Binance, sell my cryptos in euros and make a withdrawal with Advcash on binance. Even if they are not a real bank, they are the only ones who can provide me with a debit card, without big restriction, just a few fees you use it.

wow a French in Panama, you're a whale  Grin

Alright, I checked Wirex and for Panama, you can have an account but not the card.
I suppose you already checked this list? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5280997.0 There are a few supposed to be available worldwide.

No need to tell you to look at feedbacks outside here since some of the cards listed are unpopular in the crypto sphere

Hi, have you taken look at ibandirect.com? They seem to be working with lots of countries, crypto-friendly (they also have a built-in crypto exchange), offering a personal IBAN account as well.

Idk if this is beneficial for you but there is one thing that comes to my mind:
Liberty Bank (Georgian bank) is very crypto-friendly. They own a company (but claim that they are just partners) that is pretty similar of webmoney in terms of services. You can directly receive your cryptocurrencies there and convert them, then move your converted money to the bank's account. It's the only way because they don't accept SEPA transfers.
One thing also, these companies are part of Smartex that has owns some shares of Coinbase.

Another option is to open an account in Unipay.com and receive transfers there. They are crypto-friendly too and they let you to receive sepa transfers.

I don't really know if you can directly open accounts there but certainly, a lot of foreigners do that.

Ibandirect comes to answer me that he does not accept my country, I also see Quppy, he accepts my country but can't sent me a card for the moment. And Bankera you have to pay a subscription and he don't send a card to my country. I will stay with Advcash and P2P Wink Thank you for your reply

I remember this, It seems to be a bit outdated. The last Update is from 2020. but this kind of comparison and data is very difficult to keep up to date.

I think it will be hard to find a list of cryptocurrency-friendly banks as the situation is changing very dynamically. Banks very often change their minds about cryptocurrencies, and unfortunately in a negative way for crypto.
I found a list that might not fit this thread a bit, but it might be useful somehow:

Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online
