I need help splitting BSV from BCH

Hi,
When BCH was forked from BTC I had all my coins in a core wallet.
I installed BCH on another system & inserted the same wallet.dat file , it was modified for the hard fork & I had coin on both networks.
I later did the same with bitcoin gold .
I did all this with a GUI under windows.

I want to do the same with BSV.
It was a hard fork so I assume that if it works  I will have ~3.8bsv  on the bsv wallet, which is what I had on BCH at the time of the fork.

Can I  install  bitcoin-sv on a linux system &  put the BCH wallet.dat in there & let the program  modify it to the new network ?
