If someone sends you 1 merit, the 0.5 sMerit is not wasted; it is just not shown until you get another merit point.

I think this is all you need one of the differences to the ranking system is depends on the number of merits you have the higher the merit count the higher possible rank you will get.

Merit is just given to the people who made a helpful thread not just to a spammer member. Also as a newbie, I think the best way to learn first is to read the sticky threads in each board there are no shortcuts as always to learn something.

looks like a blatant attempt at boosting a bounty account in order to get a higher reward for joining any bounty campaign. OP probably thought getting a merit in a matter of minutes from the same user in different threads then deleting wouldn't be suspicious. the fact that OP deleted it made it more suspicous.

yes, he pretends to be naive and not to know how the merit/ranking system works here. he deleted all his merited posts, probably because they are completely meaningless and I assume that merit was assigned either from its alt account or bought them.
it is a coincidence that he received exactly 10 merits, then he can be promoted to member rank.

I certainly doubt that we will see ETH going to 100k in this hype cycle as this is just too much when you evaluate the market cap that it will be if it reaches such price levels. True, that there is most likely going to be a lot of demand for ETH on exchanges like Coinbase, Primexbt, Kraken due to staking which will result in a lot of ETH getting locked which will diminish the circulating supply and end up in ETH being more scarce than usually.

And that's not good at all. Some of my crypto friends are also banned because of exchanging merits from one another, so it's a shady kind of stuff rather than earning them the natural way.

To the OP, if you really wanted to have merits naturally, just keep posting helpful stuff or advice that would benefit the community. Although there are no guarantees that the valuable posts will be merited, but at least a chance once someone thinks that you really deserve to have merits.

No, that's not good at all. Although I doubt he'll be banned for that, but he may (and most likely will) be banned for plagiarism.

I get a few PM from fortune1002 regarding removing these negative tags. I'm sorry but I don't think that's going to happen.
He can't demerit himself, but by withdrawing a negative rating we approve of such actions. Personally, I don't think it's fair to other bounty hunters who try to upgrade the rank in a regular way.

I very often see that moderators make concessions to newcomers, and do not ban them for plagiarism if they see that a newcomer has a perspective, but it is impossible to return the merits.

But although deep down I feel a little sorry for him, it is clear that he has not yet assumed the consequences of his actions.
