Earth 2 IO Is offering right now in their marketplace for people to buy up virtual real estate.
Also you can sell.
Seems very active on that, however he actual game play is not active yet.
Earth 2 has only been around a few months now. But seems lots of people on it,

I am wondering what are your thoughts on this. Sketchy? 

Seems many people are buying lots all over the world. For lots of good money etc.

Now are these people for real? or you think a scam?

It does seem odd for people willing to spend lots of money on some virtual land that has no real value or use yet.,
