Hi,

since btc rised like hell i try to look into my localbitcoins.com account, but my account got locked and all my bitcoins got lost.

At the first time I used localbitcoins.com i deposit my BTC, then I found out I am not allowed to trade and need to verify first, but localbitcoins.com always rejected my verification request.  I half year to verify my account but they always reject.
At the beginning they answered after 3 days, but later then the never replied anymore.

In China is a Hotline to report scam companies, my question is is there a similar Hotline in Finland or anything else I can do?

Getting your KYC documents verified on LBC is just an easy process, I did that in few minutes and my trading volume on that platform is now few hundreds of BTC since I am trading there for last 2 years. So if you want to solve your problem just verify the identity which they mentioned as accepted in their terms like passports, driving license and etc.

Coins are locked not lost. There is a difference between the two.

There must be a reason why they are rejecting your KYC. There are so many users on this forum who are using them regularly and not having much problems.

My guess would be that you are trying to cheat the system by some manner and trying to use tainted money sources to spend. This would not be a surprise as to why they are rejecting the KYC and locked your account.

If that is the case, no need to be angry but accept your cheekiness and start a new account with clean sources of bitcoin to trade on.
If that is not the case, then only the support on LBC can help you.

LocalBitcoin is not that site I guess. I am also verified user on this platform and the KYC was done in couple of days.

But still if you want to use the hotline then you should be calling Consumer Court Complaint number (Toll Free ) 1800114000 or 14404. This number can be dial from your Indian phone, not sure about the international connections.

alternately you can also go to the National Consumer Helpline

And yes you can complaint about the LocalBitcoin though they are virtual since they are Service Provider:-

A Consumer is a person who purchases a product or avails a service for a consideration, either for his personal use or to earn his livelihood by means of self employment. The consideration may be:
Paid
Promised
Partly paid and partly promised .

It also includes a beneficiary of such goods/services when such use is made with the approval of such person.

I hope this will help. But I don't think it is really needed in case of LocalBitcoins.

Coins are locked not lost. There is a difference between the two.

They are locked more then 3 years.
My Bitcoins are clean of course. Also LBC is not saying my Bitcoins are bad, they just they my documents are not accepted. I already uploaded Video, also government documents that the documents are legally applied by my local government.

I am not sure why is your documents are not accepted, but I am using localbitcoins since a long time and my account is level 2 verified. I just had to use my passport for verification and everything went super smoothly. What kind of documents are you using for verification?

Localbitcoins would not scam your money that's for sure! My trading volume is quite heavy and lucrative to the scammers but I have never ever faced any issue with them!

Okay, if they turned down your documents did they state what the reason was? If the documents are correct (not expired) and if they are sent in the required format and are clearly visible (readable) there should be no problem with verification.

Things like this should not be resolved over the phone, because if you feel cheated by an individual or a company, you need to gather as much evidence as possible and file a written complaint with the competent institution. If customer support ignores you, you may try to send a letter to their office in Finland.

You applied for new ID so you actually don't have the ID before?
Phone number is not available because even though if it is available it is just an useless form of contact because the number will receive 100s of calls at the same time means no one can say anything to them but they do have physical address and also available on all social media platform.

I feel bad for you but frankly speaking, I have been using LBC for quite long time now and never faced any issues. Yes I had to verify my identity but that was never an issue since to buy and sell bitcoins via banks, I already have to verify myself to the sellers and buyers at times. As long as I am not doing anything illegal, I don't have any problem letting others know my identity while I always use watermarks to ensure they cannot use my identity for other purposes.

The best thing you can do is to tag them in social media handles and request for a solution like Twitter and other handles, I m not sure how effective it will be but that is usually the best option when the site is not responding to you. A far as hotline numbers go, you can make complaints against them but it won't result into anything significant.

Since you have many Bitcoins I hope you will not get a victims of Localbitcoins.

From my experience LBC support team is a lot better than reputed trading platforms but you may have to wait for days before receiving an response but they have time limits in case of disputes but you case is different. In the past someone also had difficulty in verifying his identity just because his current looking face was not similar with the photo on the ID so it get rejected all the time. You said you applied for new ID means current looking pic so this may increase your chance. If you still don't then better use a good quality camera mobile to upload the selfie proof instead of webcam.

I'm not saying you're stupid, but that there must be some reason why your verification was never successful - any serious company should explain to its client why it refuses to cooperate with him, and return his funds if they are not in some way related to illegal activities.

I don't think you will achieve anything by reporting them to someone (although it may give you a sense of satisfaction), but you should try to find out what the problem is with your documents and then try to correct the whole thing if at all possible. In my opinion that company has not bad intentions, and what happened to you is not part of some intention to profit in that way - but I also don't think that any case should remain unresolved or unexplained indefinitely.

Unfortunately, we can't help you directly, because even I am not aware of if they have an account on the forum. So, from our ends, we can't force them. I didn't hear that they scam users this way. I think rather than ask for support for KYC, just try to convince them to get back your funds. That's the disadvantage of using a centralized peer-to-peer exchange. Any legit company shouldn't scam like this and they should send back your funds. Also, they should provide a valid explanation why they are unable to verify your documents. There should be clearly mentioned if any juridical restrictions.
