I transfered 0.14 ETH from my BlockFi account to an ETH address on DoveWallet.
https://etherscan.io/tx/0xd71c6c821e72ba1615e2d0864639c236ec5ef227e27ccdf0dca856bc967e258e
https://etherscan.io/address/0x179f90d33050c0da7b247a46e5872643256c72c1

DoveWallet only deposited the 0.02 ETH into my wallet and moved 0.12 elsewhere and is not responding for days. I've tried emailing their "contact@dovewallet.com" email, I sent many messages to their support dept and they just ignore all my messages.

Has anyone else encountered this before? Have I been scammed of 0.12 eth?

the way to know if they are ignoring you.
pretend to be a new user wanting general info..
if they respond to fresh user not complaining faster then a current user with  complaint.. then yes they are ignoring you

try it again pretend to be a fresh user..  and when you get someone talking. tell them who you really are.

..
it is worth noting. some 'projects' are not established companies with call centres or support teams.sometimes its just a couple guys answering emails while bug fixing. so dont expect responses within 48 hours in most cases of crypto support

however like i said.. test them out. see if they weirdly have time to interact with new customers while ignoring customers with true issues that need resolving

..
the 'deposit' might be just that. what you requested and the remainder might be a 'change' address that re-supplies the source. try checking the source to see if the 0.12 is back where it was before you done the 'deposit'

if all else fails try to find their companies physical location and more information about those involved and other additional contact info
(domainbyproxy:godaddy seems shady)

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

No, I haven't used dove wallet before, in any case is this the same service? [ANN] Dove Wallet - Daily bonus, Multi N:N order book.

If it is, then you can post in their Ann thread and see how it goes, best of luck!!!.

Between, out of the numerous known eth wallet we have available why would you settle for dove! Sounds like a new one because am just hearing that name for the first time,

Am not trying to criticise this product but it is sometimes good to stick to well known products or services with track record to avoid situations like this, especially when it requires safe keeping of funds,

Just like @franky1 suggested, try contact them from a different mail like a fresher and see if they will respond, if they did it means they are deliberately avoiding you and the issue, which will be bad for their rep ( if they have any).

Sometimes people just fall for this kind of services just because they offering any bonuses or other advantages using their platform. I just visited dove wallet website and surprised that the wallet just offered daily bonuses for every currency you have in your wallet.
Well, use a well known wallet like mew or metamask to store eth would be a good choice even without any bonuses. Imho

and what's weird is why you'd be willing to dump Eth into the totally unpopular DoveWallet, who has no idea where it will end up. plus ana based erc20 which will cost money. so your total Eth you spend on nothing is good enough.

If I were you, no matter the temptation to invest, and it involved sending Eth, I'd better not do it.

I wouldn't say it's weird when people send their coins to  wallets that you are not familiar with. There are a lot of wallets that I've encountered recently which seemed new and unpopular but they are good nonetheless. I can understand why @bekti3 used Dovewallet. He/She probably did it for the daily bonus they offer. The only thing is it's a custodial platform.

I finally got my ETH, their only response was "It was a human error, we corrected the issue". No explanation as to why they ignored me for so long, no explanation as to why they moved my eth around, just closed all my tickets with the same response.

It only took 6 days, 5 tickets on DoveWallet, 1 email to "contact@dovewallet.com", and 2 postings on this forum to get their attention.

I joined because of their DAILY rewards for crypto. I use BlockFi for Monthly % but you gotta keep your funds on the acct for the entire mo so if you pull out early then EVERYTHING is gone for the % accrued.

I can see now that this was a big mistake, thanks again for everyone's input.

This is my first time of getting to know about this dove wallet, but from my research they are not saying they are scammers, but even at that what they have done here is totally wrong, have you tried tracing the money you sent through the Blockchain to see that it was actually sent to? Since the Blockchain is an open space, it will at least help you get a clue of what is happening with your money and where the remaining has gone to.

And I think what Franky1 said is a good thing to do, try contacting as a newbie with a totally different email address, because some of these big exchanges can be very wicked at times, they will see your message and they will ignore it and wouldn’t help you, and after some days they will close your ticket without getting your problem solved which is totally wrong. They should be able to examine to you where the remaining 0.12 Ethereum was sent to.

That's good although that's a long process that you've taken from them and now that you've taken your ETH from them, there's no other reason for you to re-use them.

Just avoid using unknown and unpopular wallets. You have plenty of choices for wallets why settle for an unknown one. Use that as a lesson if you don't want to feel disappointed and bad as you think that your funds might be lost already.

And that's the consequence too for getting with those rewards or interests as they really require you to hold it on their chosen wallet. If you're into rewards like that, there are better wallets where you'll have no trouble using them while receiving rewards like the ones supported by Ledger.

Stop using wallets that aren't well known, if you want to stake and sleep at night used trust wallet or atomic wallet, they offer good Staking returns and also give users private key backup, so you assets will be safe, you've been warned
