I could get them all day long up until NOV 2020, now I don't see any except 10x over-priced, or used cards. I think the last rtx-3070 (ASUS) I bought was $500, just 6 months ago, now unavail

Most of the stuff on aliBaba is fake, just to get service fee's they post cards, but when you talk to seller they'll tell you there are no cards, yet alibaba will take your money, hold the credit-card fee, and refund balance less 2% months later, just like normal, so this is the new scam. They're still making money, even when there is no product to sell or ship. U gotta loves the owners.

But on with reality anybody sourcing any cards? The Manufacturers said they would free up Apri 2021 but that has come&gone; now some are saying 6+ months, some are saying never

This is not unlike the shortage we had 3-4 years ago, it took awhile then the price's fell to earth I was paying $100 for gtx1060-6gb, now they're unavailable, except maybe ebay for $1,000, and even the worthless 3gb cards are asking $200 or more

...

I personally don't want to buy anything less than 30xx in the future, so I'll just wait, just want to hear honest opinions on this subject.

There's lots of real bad clone cards out there, that die real quick, lots of used 20xx cards being dumped as well, but I never buy 'used cards', just like 'used cars'

If only...  I'm worried even the new 3080ti's will be sold out before anyone can get their hands on them at retail even with their high price point.  It would be weird to be able to just order a GPU at retail at this point.  Feels like it will be a long time before that's possible again.  Until then, good luck trying to snipe yourself one any way possible.  I'll be trying myself alongside the rest of the herd.

Even in africa those stores that have gpu in store are selling for high price, if rtx3070 is 2000$ in the US you will be buying at 2500$ here in my country, building rigs is very hard here than other parts of the world, I might be wrong, maybe things are like this in afghanistan and other arab countries

I'm in ASIA, I can't source; Yes nothing is shipping to Africa or USA

This is going to get much worse before it gets better

Last time this happened prices fell like a rock, once the channels were filled. Last summer I could buy anything cheap.

This is a double-whammy, can't source components, and cards are sold-out; This could continue for years. If manufacturers can't source components, then no cards can be built.

Take care of your existing cards boyz, newbs you are SOL if you want to play

Obviously when ETH goes POS very soon, mining ETH will because obsolete, then its back to mining for par electricity costs, right now we're in the golden-age of GPU mining, but its NOT going to last.

The entire reason I asked this question, is just to see if anybody on earth had a source. Given the easy money right now, people with 30xx cards would have to be dumb or lazy to sell them

Of course the other wild-card if ETH plummets back to earth, because the crypto-scam falls out of favor, then the GPUS will once again be cheap-cheap and plentiful

I've been mining with 24 1070/1070ti's for nigh on 4 years now.  Never imagined they would still be profitable by now, but Im making more money than ever!  All because of this blessed chip shortage.  Sucks if you starting out now but for those of us who have been in it a while, the harder it is to source the new hardware the better it is for us.  If the new stuff becomes easy to get at reasonable prices, the older cards will rapidly decline in profitability.  And after a few months the new ones won't really be making any more money than the old ones did cos everyone will have them and the difficulty will shoot up.

Mind you, I wouldn't be too keen buying a new set of gpus right now.  The eth POS is just around the corner.  Though it's been just around the corner for 4 years at least, must be some big-ass corner!

Currently selling my gtx1660 supers for 500$ each and I've successfully sold some already, actually I bought for 450$ but since GPU price keeps surging it's no crime to make back some money this way either, bear market won't be forgiving 💯
