Formerly some will say that the chances of this happening is next to zero. But at the moment, we can see that the possibility of it happening in the future is there. The real question is which crypto currency do you think will topple btc? Will it be Ethereum or the fast rising BNB?

Didn't click on the link. Didn't read the article either. Will just respond to your subject.

Quite frankly, the chance is always there. Technological development is rolling and rolling fast. That includes fintech. However, being a work of a genius or a team of geniuses, Bitcoin is some kind of a future technology. It has not yet even fulfilled its primary objective because the circumstances of the present are not yet as advanced. There is, therefore, no reason for it to be replaced any time in the next several decades, much less by another cryptocurrency.

These are clickbait articles without any substance to rely on. It's highly unlikely that bitcoin will be overtaken by any other currency at any point of time in future.
It is clickbait to let people read it, I think that's just the strategy with marketing but in the article itself it stated that

For now, Bitcoin is the king of the hill and will likely stay that way for a long time as the price continues to climb and mainstream investors hop on board.

The article is saying that Bitcoin will stay at the top. So I think you went ahead and immediately assumed that the article says that some altcoin would be overtaken.

Didn't click on the link. Didn't read the article either. Will just respond to your subject.
The initial line in his topic is part of the article anyway. It kinda looks like Cointelegraph's website or similar to that though.

Annoying, isn't it? OP seems to like to just get clicks to his blog/article and it is quite common actually.
@OP If BTC was to be overtaken by another crypto, there should be already one that did for the past 12 years.
ETH vs BTC has been going quite a while since 2017, but the discussion about it doesn't seem to go anywhere.

The King always be the King no matter what altcoin they will gonna create. Some may wanted to overtaken this by producing some solutions with all the problems associated with bitcoin. But then we cant deny the fact that the first and original crypto coin will always be special. Not only when it comes to the most potential characteristics but the trusted an investor given to put their money in a reputable coin as bitcoin.

For me there is a slight or only small  chance that another crypto would replace Bitcoin.
We couldn't ignore the fact that there might be another crypto to replace it soon who knows maybe it isn't out there yet?
