Why is the price of avalon 1246 90th much lower than the price of similar products from rival companys like bitmains s19 95th or t17 84th or whatsminer m30s 90th?
Is it true that in general avalon products have better longevity than whatsminer products and whatsminer products have better longevity then bitmain products? if so than whats the catch?

I personally dont care about power consumption of miners but i do care about the price and even more about the longevity of the product because with current market prices of new miners plus all the import taxes that one needs to pay, you need almost a year to break even.

Canaan also changes the gear price in relation to the btc price,
but maybe they are not as greedy as others.

Their gear has proven to be quite good in general.

I wish I ordered bitmain... Waiting for an email from Canaan support after blokforge passed the buck. Ive since learned that this is standard practice and no slam meant for them. one of three hash boards are not working. Ive only seen a few others posting of issues with 1246 but I can say 100% of the one I ordered is only hashing at 56T.

If you ordered from bitmain 2 months ago you still wouldn't get it for another 4 or 5 months ...

I wont or should take back that they passed the buck. I'm a newb and maybe need to understand how things work. looks like the customer has to talk to mfr avalon to get log read and then instruct blokforge to support. I was on here in panic since I hadn't heard back from avalon at the time. I went all in on the machine and when it went down my anxiety took over.  I have since realized that there were truck loads in many batches sent out and there are just a few of us talkin bout issues and they are communicating with me and look to support. agree with the comment that I could still be waiting for a machine...
