I don't know much about VR, I just understand that buying intellectual property products only changes the status of ownership rights or usage rights. Copyright will remain with the original creator. As long as the team doesn't claim that the VR examples they present are their own work, that's fine. However it would be unethical if the main product of their project is actually about VR while they are taking samples from the product they bought. This is a sign that the competence of the team in this field needs to be questioned.
I see they have more team members in the field of product development, it doesn't hurt if you ask them to show their team portfolio before collaborating with this project.

Do you think this is a scam?
I conclude this is an early indication of scam.
I haven't done much digging but looking at their
team alone would be enough for me to avoid their project. All the team members have got their faces covered using the Virtual Reality headset
If they are genuine and not scammers, then I don't see why they would attempt to hide their faces.
If you highlight the photo, you will see the face of the team, please try it.
