As you know, most countries in the Persian Gulf have accepted bitcoin and the world of digital currencies, and in addition to oil, which is their most important asset, they can make a large share for themselves by mining bitcoin.

But in a strange move, Iran has closed the payment gateways of all exchange offices that operated in Iran and treated them like swindlers.
also the owners of digital currency mining machines are guilty and will be dealt with severely.

What could be the reason for all this government pressure on people not to mining bitcoins?

If, like European countries, they did not have income from oil and gas and energy from them, and were not pioneers in producing nuclear energy in the region every day, they could have stopped people from extracting bitcoins.
But despite all this, bitcoin mining energy can be very cheap for people in this country.

I have seen that government hate cryptocurrency and more especially miner's, because i joined bitcointalk forum and i noticed outside that people around the street love Bitcoin More than any other things, but government continuing to castigate crypto Worth and cryptocurrency development across the nation, if i should ask what is the relationship between cryptocurrency and government, because right now i don't know what they have in common that make every every country thst need cryptocurrency for further development is kicking for down fall of crypto.

Probably they aren't ready for crypto currencies. I mean they don't know much about it. They have no clue how to track it and regulate it. Probably they think bitcoin is "evil" and will be used only for "evil" purposes such as money laundering. Did they put a total ban in your country? I have heard only few countries did that and most of them are poorly developed. Has no advanced technologies and only little education about blockchain.
Sad, your government think the only way to fix it is through putting a ban instead of trying to learn more about it.

What could be the reason for all this government pressure on people not to mining bitcoins?
They don't see it that it will help their economy. And the most popular reason is that it's being used mostly for illegal trades and that's where they are still leaning on for that reason.

That's why some countries don't like it because that's one of the uses that they only know about bitcoin but they ignore how far bitcoin have went already in this world and after all of those years.

According to press reports: Iran is a country that is quite open to cryptocurrencies, the government of this country has issued more than 1,000 operating licenses to cryptocurrency miners. One of the reasons why many cryptocurrency miners flock to Iran is that electricity is relatively cheap and has many supportive policies.
I think this makes a lot of sense, promoting the development of Bitcoin. Create trust for people about the sustainability of Bitcoin. So everyone, please be confident when investing in Bitcoin

That's a lie because there were no "exchange offices" in Iran to be closed. There were individuals who had created a website and were buying and selling bitcoin with huge fees without any license whatsoever. Many of them were scammers. So far some of them are shut down.

Quote
also the owners of digital currency mining machines are guilty and will be dealt with severely.
That is an exaggeration. Miners have to get a license and pay taxes in order to be allowed to put pressure on the electricity network.

Quote
What could be the reason for all this government pressure on people not to mining bitcoins?
You are exaggerating but the laws Iranian government keeps enforcing about cryptocurrencies are getting harsher. I suppose it is mainly because Iran is under sanctions and the government is trying to fill the gap left by US dollar with bitcoin. There is even a law saying bitcoin should be used for import/exports.

I have read good news about Bitcoin in Iran. Their government is actually starting a pro-Bitcoin strategy to avoid sanctions by the U.S.A. Iran incentivizes miners by imposing less tax, and minimum requirements to apply for a business license. As a deal, I believe the government requires the miners to sell the coins to them first?

Not sure from where you're getting that news but that's not a fact. Occasionally, I use a couple of exchanges [with "real" offices; one of them is mainly in Tehran while the other one has its main branch in Isfahan + a small branch in Tehran] that offers cryptocurrency buy/sells and the latter one had a Q&A social post last month that mentioned there's still no such a rule that forces them to close or rather labeling what they're doing as illegal.
- Both of these exchanges initially started as exchanges for other online payment types and later added buy/sells for BTCitcoin.

also the owners of digital currency mining machines are guilty and will be dealt with severely.
Personally, I know a few local miners and last time that I checked, they were required to obtain a license that allows them to mine but forces them to pay a higher rate in comparison to normal consumers.

Incidentally, people talk about Bitcoin every day in the news and social media. But they never show the good face of Bitcoin in the news and they always use these words. :
Prohibited
Punishment
mass
Smuggling
And .. To create a harsh and evil image of Bitcoin in people's minds.

These reports are very different from what actually happened. Yes, permits have been issued, but for whom and for what body?
These licenses are issued to government agencies and ordinary people are not allowed to obtain such licenses.
Even a few months ago, they found out that the Radio and Television Organization was illegally mining bitcoins by using government electricity!

Not sure from where you're getting that news but that's not a fact. - Hello, they say that the bit mining license has become easier, does anyone know?
+ Their own hands to ordinary people who do not give permission (government)
- What if the device is licensed?
+ They fine everyone because of the electricity bill. I have never heard of an ordinary person having a license.

It is a crime to buy, sell and use mining devices  or rent a place to use them due to the smuggling of these devices.

Of course they know what Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency is. They're not banning any crypto related stuff If they have no clue why they have implemented such thing.
If this news is not exaggerated, then I guess they might have seen something not good when their people starts advocating Bitcoin.
You can't blame the government who had bad impressions about Bitcoin because of it's history that it was being used in the black market. However, not thoroughly learning the technology will give you a disadvantage in a world where technological innovation has been rapidly changing.

Actually its not really prohibited because infact i've read some article related to this issue and it says they just controling bitcoin mining in their country because miners always can cause a constant power outage inside the country, so the government suddenly declared an interest in controlling such activities after  and now it requires an authorisation from the government..

so it's not banned mate , indeed base on the article i read crypto environment is more favorable in iran than other countries..  So it's impossible to happen maybe just some restriction when it comes mining like what i've said above..

I think Iran had in mind that they are in full control knowing who is mining with what hash rate at what time. They have limited power resources and gave out certificates to a number of organizations (don't remember) that were allowed to min Bitcoin with a certain hash rate limit. Then some companies and individuals started shadow mining and they ran into power shortages. That is why Iran government intervened.

- Btw, thank you for the translation part.

https://cutt.ly/5bKWW02
I read everything and it appears that they only confiscated those mining rigs that were imported illegally + miners that were mining illegally with a workaround for using cheaper rates [they deserved it].
- Having said that, I respectfully disagree with half of the things that the prosecutor mentioned in that article; If you contact Bitmain and ask if they've sent mining rigs to Iran [legally], the answer to that will be "Yes" [I'll post an update if I'm able to find the conversation that I had with one of their representatives a few years back] but I also know that not every single mining rig [ASIC] has been imported legally [due to corruption]. Another issue that I noticed was the fact that the prosecutor in question, generalized the process of mining cryptocurrencies and that means even GPU's shouldn't be allowed and that's not the case. All I can say is there are a lot of flaws in the current system and some of the imposed rules were made by people that don't know everything about both BTCitcoin and mining as a whole [SMH].

That's really bad. Anyways, we have seen some other countries that have done the same thing this year and also before now. Earlier this year Nigeria was trending when their central bank started closing people's bank accounts for trading cryptocurrency, and also they stopped exchanges in their country.

And apart from Nigeria, we also heard of India and how they are trying to stop Bitcoin and were going to court about the case, although I can't tell the current state now because I haven't been following as of recently. Then there are also other countries that we have heard of that did the same, and now you're talking about Iran. With that said, you have to know that the government placing a ban only stops centralized exchanges from operating in the country. So you can still have access to cryptocurrency.
