For the crypto world, there doesn't seem to be a symbolic song or anthem. I used to be an amateur guitarist many years ago. Although I still am. But, you know how some people get burnt out when they grow up, have jobs and kids. Unfortunately, I am one of those people. Anyway, the idea still evoked my old little musical dreams. So I took out my dusty guitar. And there was this song. I'm not a professional musician. Even though I've spent weeks on it, it's still a long way from being perfect. It took me a lot of time, effort, and money to buy and learn a DAW, find and pay for vocalists, and vocal tuning. To be honest, I'm a little exhausted now while I am doing other jobs. But, now at least I have a demo. However, to perfect it, I might need help to get professional music services for rearrangements and production.
Besides, since I'm nobody and this might not work out well, I'm hoping that this idea also could inspire some musicians to write better songs in honor of this great crypto revolution or even become a crypto world anthem. Perhaps, the community could start a crypto world anthem project somehow?
Here are some of my understandings of cryptocurrency includes the meaning of the lyrics.
Since Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper in the fall of 2008, the world has started changing. Thanks to Satoshi Nakamoto for igniting the crypto revolution, we now have a tool to transfer assets freely to anywhere in the world. After years of development and evolution, skepticism and affirmation, propagation and suppression, many people have embraced cryptocurrencies. Undoubtedly, more and more people are going to accept and use cryptocurrencies. At the same time, the new generation of blockchains with smart contracts, represented by Ethereum, is becoming increasingly popular. Thanks to Vitalik Buterin and all the designers and developers involved.
With decentralized cryptocurrency and smart contracts, we have unlocked unlimited possibilities. We will be able to break through all the barriers/walls which may come from authorities, traditional financial institutions, or our minds. Then, enter into a real Just World that builds on transparent, predictable, decentralized, and immutable smart contracts running on blockchains! In this world, codes become laws. The codes are open source and automatically enforced when the conditions specified in them are met. If people use them, they have to accept the corresponding results. It does not require a judge nor a law enforcement officer. It's just and fair. Although it's still not perfect yet, we are heading there. And, this process is unstoppable!
I wrote this song for this great revolution and to honor Satoshi Nakamoto. I wrote this melody back in about 2008, the year the Bitcoin white paper was published. It's always made me feel a revolutionary passion. After I got the idea to write a song for this revolution, I initially tried to write a new melody. But, I suddenly felt like it might be the one. So, I named it Crypto Revolution and finished the lyrics a while ago. It's still a demo since producing a song in a professional studio requires a lot of money. I would be grateful if anybody would support me to perfect it. In exchange, I am selling 4.9% of my rights with this song through NFT to those who wanted to give support.
