it hard to find a gigabyte rx 5700 that did do less than 140w from the wall. if you want rx 5700 xt with good power consumption get a Sapphire  nitro+ or a pulse.

i have a nitro +SE that is doing 58.3mh with 100w from the wall(74w In software)

How did you unlock the memory voltage?

Same question here.. how do you set mvddc to 775 ??

Can you share your core/mem/volt, power at wall?

Seem like mem temp too high make giga 5700xt cards use much more power than others.

Sure, here are my settings, this is the best result after some days of tweak this card, didn't do the bios mod to not lose warranty
This system is totally stable, no errors for weeks, I only restart once a week to clean the dust
But yes, I suspect that gigabyte models use a lot of power with memories, consuming more

for someone not trying  to not to lose warranty, but 1900 on memory is excessive overlocking. if you  cant restore stock bios when the card dies. then it will be difficult for manufacture to read the bios chip without totally disassembling card to read the bios chip.

Is this your sapphire setting?

1331/1860
vcore=756mv
mvddc=775

mvddc if I'm not wrong is the voltage of memory controller, why you reduce this? any effect on mem temp and power?

To get 58.x MH i need to mod bios, push mem to 1900, and the power at wall hit 158W. How can you manage to get that high speed with only 1331/1860 Huh

https://www.upsieutoc.com/images/2020/09/23/Screenshot-5.png

setting:
1350/1860
vcore=750
mvddc=775
vddci-1285
soc=850

just copying the straps from 1550 without edit the tRef to 12000 will give low hashrate

these are gigbytes

the way things are, is better not to mess with the bios at all. I do hope in future, not distant, you can buy gpu boards, gpu memories and gpu dies, that will make things much easier and manufactures then won't come with the bs and say "you did something to it and we are not honouring the rma." They put third class capacitors, memory chips and blame users, whathehell. It would have been much better if there were gpu boards right now that can drive a 350 watts gpu die like the 3080, with many memory slots and so on.

As far as I know, clocks don't mess with warranty or lifespan of GPUs, the factors that can reduce lifespan are temperature and voltage, and I reduce both
The system is very stable with this clock
I don't fell confortable to do a bios mod with these cards, I didn't have any problems with polaris bios mod in the past, but with these 5700, I won't change for now

I have same model gigabytes some with Samsung, some with micron. At the same exact settings, the Samsung gpus pull 20 less watts each than the microns. This is consistent across all of them (I have 56 of them in total various models).

Did you try AMD Mem Tweak XL to reduce mvddc & mvddci? Does it work?

Never tried, what I do to reduce temperature is set my fans 70% and leave my case open

It's very confusing about bios mod and memory voltage on these models, some people said that Gigabyte rx 5700xt are hard to bios mod because these cards are locked and won't turn on with biosmod, and I never find a way to reduce the voltage of ram, you can search on google and there's a lot of confusing information about

For some reason amd mem tweak doesn't work for me
Any ideas?

There are 2 different revisions of gigabyte. Mine is a rev 1.  Was modded no problem.  Easily over 58

I see everyone is posting their PM hashrates and power draw's...

So, 57.7 at 83 watts for me Wink

Real hashrate with TRM and power at the wall.. 55.8 mhs at 127 watts.
That's impressive, is that out of the box or you decrease the clock memory? What exactly is your configuration on the gpu itself? Im getting the minimum of 91 watt power draw from my RX5700XT, it's also a samsung memory version

Can confirm that you can reduce both MVDDCI and MVDDC using AMD Memory Tweak XL by Eliovp.  I have 2x MSI RX 5700 Gaming X and they both work fine.
So first time you run this tool it will ask you to put your OS into Test mode.  Press Yes, then reboot.  After reboot, start your miner as usual, then start AMD Mem Tweak.  You should now be able to tweak GPU values.  The memory voltage control can be found in the lower right corner.  Reduce both in small increments (say 25 mV).  Then press the V at the bottom to copy the updated values to Powerplay tables and reboot again.  After reboot start your miner as usual and monitor.  And do write down the original values so you can restore in case things go south.  You should see the memory temp dropping in the mining software.

Fellow miners, get your thens and thans in order and help other forum readers understand what you are writing. Remember the grammar basics:  B larger THAN A (comparator operator). If something THEN ....

I read thru the posts, most of the stock 5700xt can easily get hashrate ETH for 53mhs and above, mine 5700xt Gigabyte Gaming OC, stock bios only 50mhs...sigh.....
