Hello, I just started reading a lot about Defi. Can someone in noob terms explain to me the fundamental differences between Polkadot, BSC, Avalance, Polygon?
Which one is the most different between them?

Difference between Pokadot and Avalanche is explained here:

Binance is a centralized DeFi platform and not very recommended.
Polygon is a new network, not much known but seems to have good marketing.

Uniswap and Sushiswap are very good and big swap platforms for Ethereum, you can swap Ethereum against different Ethereum tokens.
Pancake Swap is a swap plaform for Binance, you can swap Binance Coins against different Binance tokens.
Dodo is a bird.

If you have more questions, you can ask.  Smiley

You should made it into one post to make your post less space occupied. Anyway, I haven't heard about the other swap platforms but one thing they have in common is that you can swap your own token to whatever cryptocurrency they have on their platform. What I mean is you can swap your token to any token they supported that have liquidity. I tried uniswap and you can't swap tokens there if the token you wanted to receive doesn't have liquidity

If your purpose is to make as much money as possible then I don't know why decentralization matters. Binance Smart Chain can do anything that ETH can do at a much lower cost. All these other ETH competitors are just as centralized as BSC, they are just better at hiding it because they don't have a leader as prominent as CZ and a company as large as Binance behind them.

Well, I can't say for other coins, but Polkadot was designed by Gavin Wood, co-founder of Ethereum and Web3 (a possibility for a new web, focused in decentralized applications)

Gavin Wood was co-also the author of Mastering Ethereum, written with Antonopoulos. He is an interesting person in the blockchain space, and his project is certainly interesting, much better than all other mentioned in this thread imo.

Among all you mentioned. As far as I can tell, the 3 latter are widely used now on metamask as they created a bridge to the eth network. Simply amazing isnt it. Also worth noting that avalanche has a more sophisticated platform but still were able to close the gap on eth bridging. As for polkadot, this is one of the most awaiting project, as it slowly getting developed and soon many will reside on their network.
