Cryptotourist is just busting their ballz on the BSV thread and the shills try to deflect and smear him back anyway they can. They ran out of technical arguments regarding which one is the "real" bitcoin, big blocks matter etc and started with this crap...

I'm just looking and it's also not clear to me where the OP found any relation to racism and incorrect comment regarding skin colour. complete nonsense and an attempt to produce problems out of nothing. I'm not sure what the purpose of that is, to be honest, there are very few racist incidents on the forum here. either the moderators are doing their job well or I haven't noticed.

The only sub-section we have much racism right now is on the Bitcointalk unofficial discord board, one of the reason I deleted my discord account I faced several racism comments and it uncool to think of another race as the least being. The use of words is great concern right now but what the OP posted is not a racism case.

I'm no feminist, but things weren't as good for women or minorities back then, though in some respects it was a much better time socially--you didn't have to edit everything you said like there's pressure to do today, nor was there that culture of victimhood that's so prevalent in 2021 (and has been since around 2015-16).  I'm all for women's rights and fairness for all, but that's not what identity politics is all about, unfortunately. 

Anyway, you're right to suggest that OP (and many others) need to grow a thick shell around them if they're going to be a member of bitcointalk.  Getting offended is the price you have to be willing to pay for the freedom to speak your mind.  If there were rules against racism, sexism, or "offensive" posts, this forum would absolutely suck.  One of the reasons I joined it is because there weren't any of those rules, and there were on many other forums I'd been a member of.

Oddly enough, most of them seem to exist only on the internet.  In real life, I don't interact with many of them--but in real life, I don't try to offend people and tend to be respectful anyway.  The snowflake thing has been going on for years now, too.  I'm wondering when the pendulum is going to start swinging the other way.  I'd say it's about time, no?
