...

Language in the $550 billion infrastructure bill before Congress wants "Crypto Brokers" to pay $28bn of that...

Crypto Brokers is not well defined, very vague, probably overly broad.  The crypto industry is not happy.

I think what they mean by crypto brokers is almost every person that uses cryptocurrency and earns cryptocurrency, also I feel like the translation for this bill is " You are under our control and we want a big piece of the pie that you are earning because we are the government and we want you to fund our military and keep the poor as they are." That 500 billion could've been taken from military budget and police funding because those two have the most overpriced transactions, if you cut their budget, things will change for military contractors and police contractors that are overpricing their products. Of course crypto brokers won't be happy since they are target for big taxation again.

Zerohedge is an unreliable source of information.  They regularly overhype threats, deal in conspiracy theories, and have no accountability because all their articles are written under fake names.  It's a low quality information source and nobody who considers themselves educated should read it.
