You should only use and buy original cables from proven sources because there are malicious cables that can steal your crypto and leak information.
Depending on model of ledger hardware wallet there are two types of cables,
Ledger Nano S is using Micro-USB to USB Type-A cable connection, and
Ledger Nano X is using USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable connection.
There are also some extensions and convertors you can buy if you have other type of connection on your device.
New hardware wallets are usually supporting USB Type-C connection and older ones have Micro-USB connection.
