After resetting my password, I have been trying to log into my Kraken account for countless times, but I keep getting the same error message

"We lost contact for a second. Please try signing in again."



Does anybody know the cause of this or a workaround in case they have experienced it before?

If internet connection is not an issue, try clearing your browser's cache, if nothing still happens, you better message their support, or maybe one of their social media accounts.

I did a quick search on Google and found some similar cases, so make sure that the problem is not on your side (delete the cookies, restart the device) and if it doesn't work, try contacting the support team.

In one case, it took more than 72 hours.

Hmmm could be related to the recent forgot password issue they had few days ago, see: https://status.kraken.com/incidents/pp9rdh8c6c9f

Try to also follow up your case thru their live chat and subreddit (/r/KrakenSupport) to get a faster response.

After resetting my password, I have been trying to log into my Kraken account for countless times,

Don't do this next time, their damn system is tracking and counting failed logins even if it's their system fault so it wouldn't be a surprise to end up getting your account locked for security reasons, and funny enough is their system not telling this and keep giving you the generic answer you're receiving and when you finally log in you have suspended withdrawals, and support will take its sweet time enabling it again.

Also, if you're cleaning cookies and using a different machine, try to leave at least 15 minutes before the last action and the new try, don't know the rationale behind it but that's what support told me when I asked if this will happen again after resetting the password.

Just an update in case someone sees this thread in the future.

I gave it a break and then after several hours I was able to log in. I am not sure if it was due to my recent password reset or the several log in attempts i tried, but giving it time and then logging in hours later works.
