I had some cryptos being staked in the Pools department at Polycat Finance. After the site layout change, I can no longer find the coins. Have they disappeared forever and why?  Huh

I think your first point of action should be to write their support and find out what actually happened before opening a thread here. It could be a glitch and the team may be able to rectify it without raising any dust. I don't know what that site is all about. In fact, I just heard about them now. Howbeit, I like for you to give them the benefit of the doubt by writing them first. Do brief us about the outcome after you send them a memo.

Why don't you reach out to team first and see how it goes?

Maybe you are not the only one experiencing the same issue, maybe they have f**k up when they move and change their site layout? This kind of issue is not new and most of the time it is not being tested properly by the devs because they want to get the website up and running after a big change.

So don't let you hopes down, and hopefully they can figure it out on why your coins disappear.

I think this is because you set up the wrong network so you try again or you can do a DM / PM through their social media

Bitcointalk is not a support center that is able to help with all of your questions, some might patient enough to help you. But at least try to understand how to ask a good question first. You don't even mention the crypto you staked, try to give more information as much as possible, without compromising your security/ privacy. Also, make sure your wallet is not compromised, and you've checked it alls fine in terms of your wallet security.

I couldn't find any news about a hack, a rug pull, or other types of exploits on polycat.finance so it's most likely a problem on your end. Sometimes it's just a failure in loading and your internet connection could be the culprit. Another possible reason is the farm that you were staking is already inactive.

you should be mindful of the platform where you are sending your token. this is the period where these scammers develop lending and farming platform waiting for people to move in. then, they will disappear. they will rugpull the moment they have gain huge returns. i was a victim on compound finance. it still hurts till today. i have decide that I will never fund any new defi platform until I recover my loss.

I don’t know about this polycat finance, and this is my first time of hearing about it. I think what others have said is the right thing you should do, you should reach out to the support or the devs, and let them know that your coins are missing from your wallet.

After you might have told them this then you can wait and see what they are going to do about it, whether they will be able to solve this issue or not, and if they have a telegram group you can as well talk about it there with other users and know what they're up to. If others should also complain of the same thing, then there’s  likely something wrong with it.

They are up and now and there's a slight rise in the price, this is the first time I read about this project, checking its performance in the market there's a huge dump of the price 97.9% for the last four months, not the kind of project worth investing for me, since this is a farming site you should check https://rugdoc.io/ for analysis if they are on the site, and you should also aware of rug pull, you should be fast enough to dump or have an exit plan in case they do a rug pull.

It seems like that there was a bug and the only best thing to ask people with capability to answer your question. This is ever happened with sovryn dapps in the past but it could be a layout or UI bug.

Have they disappeared forever and why?  Huh
They have not but it must be locked in the staking address or contract. Just ask the developers about this because they were having enough capability to answer your question and fix the bug if there was.

I don't think that they have disappeared. You had better reach developers and discuss it with community, but anyway, if your money wasn't stolen and they are still in the smart-contract of this project, you can recover your tokens. Just find the smart contract of Polycat on Polygon explorer (if I am not mistaken, this projects works on Polygon) and go the tab "write contract". There you can find the field "emergency withdraw" where you are to put the number of pool you do staking in. And you can withdraw directly from smart-contract then. Please find out more information on the Internet.

OK sorry for being stupid. The coins were on the old site at https://old.polycat.finance/

Polycat Finance was no longer paying stake rewards but I was able to unstake the coins. At first, the tokens did not appear on Metamask because the contract addresses were different from what they were before staking. I found the strange addresses and was able to swap the coins to Polygon (MATIC).

Staking stopped very soon after I was charged a 4% deposit fee so I lost some money. It was a hassle trying to make money on Polycat so I cannot recommend the platform to anybody.
