Personally, I have received about 5 alerts on my phone from reputable news sources saying that Kroger is now accepting Bitcoin Cash.
It turns out that Kroger's company page is automatically updated and receives a direct feed from PR Newswire (PRN), where the fake release also appeared.
Kroger is in contact with PRN regarding criminal activity.
I know that I'm not the only one that got these alerts, it almost felt like Christmas for a minute. I feel like this has happened before with a fake press release that everyone caught on to regarding Kroger (I believe) and Bitcoin Cash.
