Coinbase Confirm Your Info Email?

I gotten this email a few times already.  It basically says


Confirm your info by so and so date



Financial regulations require us to confirm your info by certain date or your account will be restricted.



I logged into coinbase and see this message at the top.  My questions are




1.  Before I click on verify my info, what are the questions they are going to ask?  I know i have to verify it anyway but just want to know before I click on it.  The thing is my coinbase account has been verified a long time ago.  It does say most for most customers, it only takes a minute.



2.  Can I deposit/withdraw or even trade on my coinbase account right now if I do not verify my info?  Or I can still do this until that date that my info must be confirmed by?

1. According to this[1], you will be asked to verify the information you already entered before, probably name, address, etc. and you might also be asked to verify your identity again.

2. It should be possible to buy and sell before that date, yes.

You should also make sure that the email is coming from Coinbase. I remember receiving similar phishing attempts before.

Hi.  Well I know this email is coming from coinbase because when I log into my coinbase account, you see this message at the top for you to verify your info.


I just want to know what questions they ask exactly but I verify my information since they say it takes less than a minute to do.  But I don't want a situation where it ask me question then I'm not sure etc.





Okay so apparently the first question they ask is how much crypto do you plan on trading this year.  Then it ask your occupation. 



I have zero idea how much I would trade as I never traded on coinbase before.  Do i just choose the lowest or second lowest option then?



Also where is the occupation for working online but you just gamble for your income?  I checked the industry options and it seems it has to be either



All other industries and services which is the last option?


I do see casino and gaming but obviously that means working at casinos or those type of gaming so certainly this isn't the option?

If you have zero idea, you can base it from other exchanges you've used but I wouldn't worry about this too much. I doubt coinbase is expecting an accurate or near accurate answer.

I would probably try to not involve anything related to gambling in coinbase cause they seem to be strict about it.

Figure it out, but have it at the back of the mind that coinbase doesn't want anything to do with funds from casinos or gambling platforms. It's your account, after all. When you set it up. You should have read the terms and conditions at that time.

If that's your only source of income then you're bound to use coinbase for such activities. Even if we say you were able to hid your gambling tracks from them, I would say it would be highly likely for you to be marked AKA given extra attention the moment you declare your main source of income is gambling.

If you want to use a CEX with the lowest risk possible, better look for another option.

You better not mention this to them. AFAIK, most exchanges have a red flag when it comes to declaring that your source of income is from gambling.
As potato chips have said, even if you don't declare it but they've managed to track that your funds came from a casino or gambling, they would certainly give you a notice with that. I've experienced that notice but not with Coinbase.

That's very bad if you currently have funds in your Coinbase account anytime soon they can put your funds on hold and suspend your account if you directly withdraw your funds from a Gambling or casino site that is prohibited.

If you have funds in a Coinbase account I'd like to suggest withdraw your coins right now and transfer them to the non-custodial wallet before you verify your info again in Coinbase.
And then after Coinbase verified your account again only transfer a small amount gradually to make sure you won't lose so many funds if they decided to put your account on hold or suspended.

as they have their ^{Coinbase or any other service} own rules, and I as a user have my own rules. If I notice any rule that can be interpreted in different ways or it doesn’t fit into my way of doing business I'm looking for an alternative.
I personally do not engage in any illegal business and I do not want anyone to interpret my income as being against their rules. Fortunately, we already have a large number of services and you can certainly find one that can meet the requirements.
So, OP, don't let them fool around with your money. it's easier for you to find another service than to prove anything to them.
