an opportunity or preliminary start of bear market??

Just be patient. for now we just need to be patient with the dump that happened. since the last time ATH was reached, it is quite natural for there to be a correction in the price of bitcoin, and altcoins. however, it is natural for the beginning of the year people are still looking for a new investment place, and so on. expecting an increase in a short time is not impossible, however, it will be very good if we just focus on gathering and holding back. so, when the price of the coin we hold goes up, we will make a profit. well, we don't know when the bear market will end, or the bull market will happen for sure. so, we should not give up and keep trying to collect assets. The road to becoming a millionaire is not easy my friend.

Considering we had two ATH in a single year, with a 50%+ drop in the middle, I would say it is definitely normal for a correction like this. I mean from 30k to 64k to 30k to 68k, that is a BIG movement to have in a single year.

Maybe this year just needs to be a bit stable and more regular? That way we could have a bit more calmed down market and can do whatever we want without worrying. I am not saying that it should not be going up, or going down, but do not do it that big and that quickly back to back? We literally had 2x to 50% drop to 2x to 50% drop so it is really not too much to ask for a year without that much movement.

I am guessing something like 60k+ or even maybe 70k+ could happen, but let it happen once, and maybe a small correction but that's it, whatever else could be in the middle or at the end and avoiding going to under 40k and then over 70k all over again in the same year.

One thing we must understand is that, the market does not just keep going up forever, there will be time for corrections, when the market is going through a correction phase, those who don't understand can easily tag it a bear market whereas, it isn't.
I think we are still very much in the green phase of the market, but what we are currently experiencing is a correction which am guessing will last for a moment before we return back to the green again, and I think this time, bitcoin is going to record a new all time high..

many people don't understand where the bears came to the market, even for me sometimes analyzing altcoin charts there are still many mistakes. but it's all at the risk of people trading, making this sharpening skills and learning the science of analyzing charts. what this bullrun always hoped for came when it was time for everyone's hope to wait.?

Why are the two terms mutually exclusive?

I do think that this is the start of a new bear market, because markets are overbought right now and there is way too much crazy stuff going on in the space of Web3.0 and NFT.

However, for long term accumulators I think that this is a perfect time to start DCAing their bags - BTC, ETH are both looking relatively cheap atm.

Even if we are still in its correction phase, as long as there is a good opportunity to buy cheap but potential coins, then it will the best time to accumulate more. So if bearish season will next to occur in the market, then there will be more opportunities for buying as the prices are much cheaper. But if we are heading into another bull run, no worries as we have already buy at the dip so we will still be profitable by that time.

And now that the present correction creates price decline in the market, then we should start taking advantage on it as its always good to buy when prices are in dump. We should not look for another opportunity because we have it already in front of us. If we can't put buy orders this time, and then the market suddenly turns to bull run, then it will never bring us good profits after all. So while there is still dips, its better to buy as much as we can so we can also make unlimited profits when bull run comes.

And now that the present correction creates price decline in the market, then we should start taking advantage on it as its always good to buy when prices are in dump. We should not look for another opportunity because we have it already in front of us. If we can't put buy orders this time, and then the market suddenly turns to bull run, then it will never bring us good profits after all. So while there is still dips, its better to buy as much as we can so we can also make unlimited profits when bull run comes.

That's just exaggerating if you put it into unlimited profits since the market doesn't always go up plus your investment is also limited there's no way you can tell that you'll be profiting unlimited. Although, it's a good thing to always buy the dip if you want to accumulate and planning to sell in the next pump since there's still a possibility that Bitcoin would break a new ATH this year.

Most speculators including me, expect that it will happen next month but let's just see if what does the market would do with our prediction.

It's easy to understand the bears. When the prices are too low, that's the indication of the bear but, there goes the misunderstanding about bears, corrections or dips.

When the prices are low, there are those people that will say that we're already in a bear market.

But not actually because those are just small dips that has to pass by.

Just another dip among many dips. And that is always a part of any market.
So this is where traders differ from each other, they have their own strategies on how to take advantage of the market.
Some will panic, whereas, others are silently accumulating valuable coins.
When the bullish season comes, they can always reap their profits.
But for those who panic, they will regret again about the missing opportunity.
