Recovering account

I am working with a client whom has misplaced his account credentials. I obviously pointed them to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0 to go through the steps there. Does the email password reset work? I thought I read somewhere it doesn't?

Is there a way to recover the account without the steps in the before mentioned thread? For example, I have been working with this guy off and on from 2015 with his 1st site and continuing until now with another campaign. I'm 100% sure this guy is the person he says he is as I had him credit my account on the site so I had funds for the campaign.

Just wondering what other steps we could do besides signing a message or the email stuff?

E-mail reset should work. Secret question reset doesn't work, may that's what you read about.

If he just forgot the password than he can use the Forgot your password feature and DO NOT tick the "ask me my question" box. Considering he has access to the email associated with the account ...

If the email is also "misplaced" then we are waiting to read his email

Secret question reset doesn't work, may that's what you read about.

Secret question does not help to recover account access but it works in another way, lock your account. It was applied since May 2015 hack.

PSA: ACCOUNTS WILL BE LOCKED IF THE SECRET QUESTION IS USED TO RECOVER IT
