In order to get a full overview of my trades im forced to check all my transactions to remain legal. The problem is that its thousands of transactions. Its not really possible to make this manually. So the question is... is there a way to check the prices automatically? I guess the price for the day is fine enough. It shouldnt be mtgox price because that price was never real in the last year.

Is there a way for this?

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

last 24 hours 562-577 about 3% difference

im not sure what you mean by "legal".
but if your doing an investment for third parties. then not logging trades. and now trying to make up logs after the fact, is not that legal..

if its for tax purposes. then just knowing how much FIAT you threw in. and deducting that from the FIAT you withdrew, would give you an accurate total of extra income to add to your tax forms.

making records after the fact with atleast a 3% variation to the actual amount. makes the report inaccurate and ultimately useless. and should only be used by yourself as a 'guide' of volatility. i would not consider daily average prices as anything that could be used in any legitimate scenario

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Its for tax purposes. The problem is that i never thought about the need of having documents to meet the tax requirements. I stil have all wallets but many of the exchanges i was on are dead now already. So my ability to prove anything isnt very high.

I know its how you say but i traded way more than that. I have thousands of transactions. Partly i bought shares with bitcoins, partly i bought goods with it. And everytime i trade bitcoins against anything its a tax related transaction. If i buy shares or goods i dont own the bitcoins anymore. And so on. So in order to calculate the real fiat-values i would need to automate this. I think it would be sufficient to have a list of Euro-Values for each day. I could copy that into a calc sheet and draw the needed value automatically with formulas.

I think i now have a working way. The charts at bitcoincharts.com have the feature to load the raw data. So one can setup the chart settings the way that it shows the europrices daily, load the raw data, copy it into a calc sheet and with formulas draw out the needed prices from there.
