User promoting NSFW content

I just saw a thread from this brand new account @callmaya128 on bitcoin discussion board promoting NSFW/ adult content.

Seems like his post had nothing to do with bitcoin to begin with... just hit the report button, bitcointalk isn't a classifieds ads board, posts that aren't bitcoin (or at least crypto) related and aren't posted in the off topic section belong in the barbage bin.

As for NSFW topics, i don't think they are banned per sé... Here's the (un)official rule

Basically, as long as it's legal, marked as "NSFW" and nothing is shown on your screen automatically, it seems to be more or less acceptable to post NSFW stuff.

Alright, thank for the clarity. Maybe I did not fully understand the forum rule concerning NSFW, now I understand better.

I'm pretty sure if someone came around offering adult only services for BTC it would not be forbidden in the services board.

But this post linked in the OP seems to just be SEO spam. In other words, someone posting links to their service everywhere else they can on the web just so their page ranks higher on searches.

I remember more than once an account claiming to be a girl posted a thread in the Services board offering pornographic photos and videos for sale. I don't know if there were any reasons preventing them from continuing, but it certainly wasn't forum policy.

I took some time to search in Services board for some of these topics, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any. However, I was surprised by how many cryptocurrency projects in the porn niche. Many projects remained active for a while before disappearing, and of course, not due to forum policies. Some of you maybe remember Sexcoin and xXxCoin and many others.

Because its easy to fake it by someone in this forum while earning, unlike using those platform with video or calls to prove that it's them or whatever. So far, our boys are not that narrow to get lured by such service regardless how cheap it is.

Porn could benefit from cryptocurrency use but from my understanding the porn watching crown isn't that keen on spending money in general, or especially going through hoops to watch their porn.

There have been many attempts to tie crypto to porn and most famously pornhub tried to turn to crypto only through a partnership with altcoin Verge:

Well, they still had to find partners to help them accept visa and mastercard because to this day not many of the users have figured out how to spend crypto...

As per OP, this forum might be an unusual place to stumble upon anything adult-oriented. This is a good example of how indifferent the two interest groups are to each other. And it's not as if us crypto users aren't consuming porn but we'd rather spend our coins on other things.

Her name was @alia^*. It was a long story, and theymos/aTriz were both scammed. The account gained trust when theymos changed its username (a rarity before 2018).

Yep, unfortunately it was deleted before I was able to see it and cofnrim that it was indeed NSFW content. 

There wasn't any NSFW image or video but there were a bunch of links to "hire" girls in different places of the world, the link was for the main part the same but the prefix ( or suffix; cannot remember by hand) referred to the city/place where the service was located  : basically that user was ( is) an international PIMP but there was no reference to Bitcoin or Crytpo or whatsoever that would justify their presence on this forum.

IIRC it was a bit more complicated with that. alia was found to be an alt account of favours, who was found to be hiring a cam girl when he needed content for alia. Oh man. I just remembered nullius' long-winded cybersex posts with "her" before he started working with her, for whatever reason. next time come across it here in the forum (i hope you don't) just report the post to mods, no need to create a whole topic about it.

are you sure about that? last time i checked, the porn industry was worth many many billions. that money has to be coming from somewhere.
