How ICOs affected the market of exchanges?
Are we still not over with ICO?
I guess there’s no major effect right now because ICO is not the only option anymore and they lose a lot of developer and investors for some reason. Though ICO might have a come back if they will introduce another innovation which I doubt to happen as we move forward into another way of investing.

How ICOs affected the market of exchanges?
It was really influencing the market. ICO was a great way for many projects to rise up funds and get a lot of money to develop the projects. But, it was, once more.
Now, there is no worthy ICO, ICO seems likely to expire in the crypto world. There is no need to trust in any ICO anymore because most of them are only resulting shit coins. The market today are more various and influenced by several new things. Some new thingsvmay be now probably the rising project type after all previous terms. But if talking about the crypto exchanges, for this day condition, ICO cannot give influence the, many people don't trust in any ICO anymore. So, what's else to talk about ICO?

How ICOs affected the market of exchanges?
Are we talking in the past or the current situation of ICO?
Well, in the past ICO was one of the best way to raise their funds and if get listed on a good exchange it attracts more investors to register on that exchange and that could benefit them positively. Right now, ICO is not the top option anymore, exchanges are already established and there’s a better way now to raise their funds to technically ICO is just a basic way now, and can’t make any huge impact anymore not unless its a good project that can totally change the whole trend.

How ICOs affected the market of exchanges?
ICOs were like half of a decade ago. I am pretty sure that even if those still exist to these days, they're unlikely to still affect the current market we have right now. Many ended up a failure anyway, MrDave so I guess if there's minimal effect that we're going to be anticipating it would be just those investors cashing out their money, but again why would those still exist to this day?

We have been to IEOs, STOs and....yeah NFTs.

As far as OP is concerned, I don't understand how ICO affects exchange, what does it have to do with it? I understand the relationship of IEO but not with ICO. I even thought IEO would be a better replacement for ICO with the impact of exchanges monitoring token sales, token supplies, team role maps, and trading. The IEO doesn't appear to exist again, new tokens are crowdfunded, pumped, and dumped by whales. I seriously dont know what the future will be for startups.

Different scenario might happen since if ICO scamming is rampant then massive dumping is coming due to scammers did this and confidence level towards crypto is somehow became low due to those idiots actions did, so it somehow have effect but not for long term since for the same what happen these days where ICO fame fade out and people will just forget about it.

for me, this kind of crowdsourcing seems to be dead already. people are seeing that the ones who are benefitting from this activity are the owners or devs only. also, investors don't know when they will get their initial investments back, hence, they are getting disappointed to go into this venture anymore. usually, once the coin or token is ready for trading from the IEO project, their price is only up in the first few days of trading. and you will notice that afterwards, it will slowly decline. so if you are too late to sell your coins, you will lose your opportunity to recover your funds.

As a result, you saw the emergence of specialized exchanges that were designed specifically for trading tokens from ICOs. These exchanges had to adapt quickly to keep up with the rapidly changing market and the demand for new tokens.

I think, ICO helped to spur innovation and growth in the early days, they also exposed the market to a lot of risks and uncertainties.

However, the ICO market also had its downsides. Many of the tokens that were introduced through ICOs turned out to be scams or failed projects. This led to a loss of trust in the market and a decline in the value of many tokens.

I think that ICOs had a significant impact on the market of exchanges, both positive and negative. While they brought new tokens to the market and created opportunities for investors, they also introduced new risks and challenges for exchanges to navigate.
