So first thing first, Hello to all @ Bitcointalk.

I was wondering if someone would be king enough to help me. I am trying to learn more about blockchains and the coding behind them. i have thus far followed some guides relating to cloning bitcoin and litecoin albeit they were the older versions of the code v0.8.

So i decided to give something harder a try Yenten. I have so far followed a guide that is for bitcoin to do this but now i am stuck.

I am trying to generate new pub and prvt keys for the code.

Can anyone please explain how to do this in a step by step method for a laymen? As it seems quite different from the bitcoin method. After hours of googling and reading
i can't seem to find any info.

Btw: I am working in virtual box with ubuntu 18.

The guide i am following is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1030365.0

My profession is stone mason, i could not be farther from the future as i am now.I build from stone blocks and i verify each and every one. Each block is unique and cannot be replicated perfectly, but i am centralized and thus i am alone.....
Now i am a digital stone mason, i am the future. I build from digital blocks and we verify each and every one. Each block is unique and cannot be replicated perfectly, we are de-centralized and thus we are legion...for we are many.

Ill gladly give you a hand I like your play with words about building with blocks I'll send you a DM curious to see what you've come up with so far. I haven't seen anyone go right into forking the bitcoin blockchain in years.
