No display from riser

I have a graphic card (3070ti) that won't display if I use a riser to power it up but if I remove the riser and use the 16x slot direct it will display, I have tried variants of risers 006,007 and 009 but same result, I need to use riser so that all other ports can be available for use too, 3070ti is a fat GPU.

AFAIK you won't get video output using a riser. For bideo output you need the 16x slot.

The only motherboard I know will not get you video from risers but only from the first place of the x16 slots is H510 Pro Btc of Asrock which I own,all other motherboards I have used show display with risers without problems.You can put another card for display with riser and just connect the 3070 ti with riser just for mining is one way to get rid of such problem,if you only have one card the 3070 ti use it on the x16 slot until you get other cards which you can use to display from the risers without problem.

First, turn off the PC, then connect the monitor and check the video output. If connected on a running PC, the video output may not work.
For video output, you can use another cheapest video card or use Linux with access through the terminal.

AFAIK you won't get video output using a riser. For bideo output you need the 16x slot.

You are wrong, I have two rigs with RTX 30 series and I use one of the GPU to display on my monitor and it works fine, though it's better to get display from integrated gpu like hd4000 series or other like AMD.

OP I suspect your motherboard, forget trying to get a display from the RTX gpu and get the display from other GPU onboard, this won't stop the RTX from mining.
