Traditional rulers,kings and chiefs inluence on its communities politically

During the old ways of life the traditional rulers were seen as the government of the people who has the power to give and take ,take a life at will ,seize lands and properties.
Now adays the story is changed traditional rulers are now been picked by the government in power to do their own personal work interest, knowing fully well that you must be for the government and do as they say and not be against the government because they are the onces funding the traditional rulers pay role.

So doing this what the government wants is what you want ,the traditional rulers mobilises is community to work for their own choice of candidates, this can succesful because they have small power to sanction with support of the government which they support, so no one has the power to question the traditional rulers judgement, you must want their choice ,what they want .,they even mobilise jobless youths, widows,market women and the elderly citizens to help out with attaining this ..they convince them with stipends and mouth watering packages which the government has provided for them.
This makes it easier for them to conquer their territories and communities.this is very popular around the African regions.
