AntMiner S9 Virus NAND Internal disk not boot

Hello Friends,

My network with 100 ASIC S9 caught viruses. I had no problem or care about passwords and this is costing me.

The software I use was updated, original Bitmain for S9j, S9i.

What happens:

The machines were mining for another pool in nicehash, I was able to verify why my hashes rate dropped and by the awesome I realized that I had other pools and other workers.

What did I do?

I installed it on a Micro SD Card or Braiin OS and did the boot from the SD Card, everything works fine. But, when I transfer Braiin to the System Device (NAND), it concludes, however, it does not run through the internal memory.

It cannot be a problem in memory, because it happened only with all infected machines, currently 9 machines.

When using Braiin via SD CARD everything works normally.

The error when running the system through the internal memory on HTTP is CONECTION REFUSED, so I think there is something running.

From what I think, I need to BOOT through Braiin and then, completely format the internal NAND disk, and then install Braiin or any other OS.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Can you help me?

OBS:
No other system works by the internal NAND, I have tried several and the simple boot changing the JP4 and then returning to normal does not work.

It's not uncommon for this virus (which I believe called NightSwitcher) to brick a control board, I believe Xilinx has some secure-boot function which the virus utilizes to disable the bootloader, saw someone ne telegram talk about getting 600 control board bricked, it's likely that you are going to need to get comfy with running BO on an SDcard, or of course, get some used control boards.

You should also isolate all of those miners, and try to find where did the virus come from, did you recently buy a used miner?

If you need it flashed with JTAG i can do most of the Bitmain boards with some special fgpa design software i created.

What exactly special FPGA design software you talking about?

Its seems that you don't know how to mine Bitcoin?

Bitcoin can only be mine with ASIC machines so FPGA will not work.

As far as i know eFusing is permanent. OP was lucky that particular malware variant did not enforce the signed only boot or no sd boot at all, so OP can at least use Braiins OS from an sd card and forget about the NAND.

I know for a fact that you could replace the nand to fix the issue, but i don't think its worth it.

Never leave your miners without password, and always test for ssh if you can login change the ssh password as well, before a malware does...
