Which is more convenient and better in terms of profit and investment? Mining coins ( POW ) or using HDD to mine ( POC )? I heard that you can mine coins like BHD and Burstcoin with HDD and it doesn't consume electricity like that on GPU or Asic mining, I need some info on this fam.

This is very dangerous if you are mining the Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency with your HDD because of the data lost and the heating problem which may lead to burning your system. But, if you have the GPU in your system and mining with this then the output will be cost-effective. Till now everywhere GPU mining is recommended and it is very cost-effective in terms of electricity consumption.

While this is true, you consume less electricity, the gains are not that great.
You'd need a rig with 100TB+ disk space to make some decent money, and i'm not calculating in the internet connection and cost of disks as well.
Additionally, even if you get these for free, you only get paid when your disk is used, and this will solely be determined by the disk speed and the internet speed

Lol, you got the whole thing wrong mate, there are few coins out there that use Proof of Capacity as mining Algorithm, meaning that you can only mine them using your HDD, you won't be able to mine burst coins with GPU or Asic

I'm sure you haven't do research on POC mining, it's a total bad news for many as per their reviews on the web, you must have a stable connection, the more you stay online and continue mining Burstcoin the higher chance of solving a block to get paid, I don't like this at all

I would rather run a bitcoin full node, you can do research on that, I believe it's way better than mining coins with GPU or your HDD, also it's electricity friendly than mining, apart from the cost of your setup electricity won't be a problem

Try to look on "CHIA"

It's hard-disk mining while you are allocated depending on how much storage you're allocated for the mining process. However, using a hardisk for mining are gonna to make harddisk always spinning and processing without stoped.

It's gonna make the hard disk itself have a short old. Not really recommended, due we-all know harddisk have vulnerability ability really low.

If you intend to mine using a hard disk then it better to use SSD than HDD since SSD writes several times faster than HDD. 

But be informed that HDD or SSD used for mining have shorter life spans due to the excessive strain on the harddisk

It isn't stupid, that's really an algo to mine with. That's what we call, proof of capacity. But he's wrong about saying that it doesn't consume electricity, it does just like GPUs.

In the beginning when the difficulty of mining was low and yes CPU mining was possible but later it becomes obsolete so trying to mine is not going to be profitable on the other side it can damage the device completely so people moved to more powerful machines to mine some real coins.

GPU mining still uses less electricity as compared with ASIC mining and when we talk about efficiency the storage mining still has a huge way to go and it's not that efficient therefore I would pick GPU mining .

If consumption of electricity is problematic then try and use renewable sources of energy since they would help you gain - greener alternatives - they would honestly pay for themselves after a while.

For some coins it might be profitable, the storage mining but still at the moment you would have to struggle a lot to make good bucks

There are still some coins that can be mined with CPU, you can search for them but you're right that profitability isn't that much. So, those that have PCs or laptops that just want to engage in mining through CPU, that's what they do but I don't do it as I don't want to lessen the life of my CPU.

Yeah, HDDmining just destroys your hard drive, at least that what i have read about while ago. HDD isn't build on that kind of stress test in mind, so it will be even worse for your hardware than mining with graphics card. At least graphics cards are build for handling a lot of heavy stuff.

I would stay off anything hdd mining related. It doesn't seem to be a sustainable system, and possibly even more harmful to the planet and creates waste when you think about carbon footprint.
