It has a huge effect on the financial status of huge countries but it will only take time for them to heal and adjust and I'm sure that things will still get back to normal in the coming months. Queen Elizabeth is a big loss but things shouldn't stop and end there. The UK has to move forward and stand firm especially since we're all amid an economic crisis.
The death of the Queen really sad but then again, this is already anticipated and UK government already prepared for this years ago. I’ve seen a documentary about how UK will take action once the queen died and now they are doing it the so called Operation London Bridge. Financial problem will be there but I know UK will still stand firm with their new king but for now let them mourn first.

they've been enjoying their riches for the past decades. so for me, we should not really be worried about this. there are other things to worry about in this world. they should know by now how to handle this potential problem, and know what to do next. for sure, at some point they discussed what will happen if the Queen died. right?

I'm not certain british royals perform any significant function in the modern era. Aside from being residents and caretakers of their historical estates. And attending celebrity social functions. They're more figureheads and offiicial spokespersons today. Than legitimate royalty. The most interesting thing I've heard about the british royal family is they're not allowed to play the monopoly board game. Due to games becoming too competitive and bloodthirsty?

For a family of monarchs they do not appear to have much ambition. They appear content to be paraded about as an example of monarchy and democracy co-existing within the same state.

I would guess they already have financial constraints in place to prevent them from becoming too involved in politics or amassing enough wealth and power to upset the power balance between parliament and the monarchy. Similar to the versailles treaty restricting germany's economy post World War I.

From what little I know of Queen Elizabeth II, she seemed like a lovely person for a monarch.

There are memes comparing King Charles III and his wife with Joe Biden and the 1st Lady. They do look remarkably similar in their appearance.

This is not just about the royal family, we are talking about financial problem here in UK itself and looking at their economy and inflation rate, they are really on a critical stage where they can also experience recession. Yes, I also believe they already prepared for this one though with the trust of the public to King Charles, I think that is one of the problem. Let’s see if King Charles will give up the throne to Prince Charles as the rumor said just to save the monarchy since younger King are more fit to do his duties, let’s see.

AFAICT it is quite the opposite. The monarchy has all the power in the country. From appointing the prime minister and the parliament to their day to day reports to the monarchy and not doing anything without their say so. From the ability to shut down the entire government from all ministries to the parliament itself to full control over the armed forces.
