Why are some people buying low cap altcoins hoping that they will be rich by 2025? Someone texted me some altcoins she is buying for 2025 and it's full of gimmick projects, they hardly have any good volume on exchanges, all I can see is the range of 2000$ volume per day to 50,000$ per day .

I asked her why these set of coins and tokens she said it's the only way to get rich in the next bull market.

Do not buy coins because their value is cheap and market cap is low, this is plain stupidity, you are just throwing away your money because the next big altcoins by 2025 are probably not released yet, if you are doing this you need to stop.

Because it has happened before that some people do so a d through that they were made rich, now this then depends on the people behind the project, if they are reliable and transparent enough to what they represent then why not, but how do you know the good from the bad now that we have many thousands of projects ongoing in crypto, research can help along way but not all about research, the challenges is that we have alot of bad shitcoins project that are after making their own money and run away with investors assets.

I asked her why these set of coins and tokens she said it's the only way to get rich in the next bull market.

Have you considered she's also taking a risk to invest on those coins, in which it may come to pass that she make something good out of it or losses everything, those that did that before have enjoyed the most benefit there in.

Most of them is just buying in a chance to have massive return. It’s like betting on lottery with low chance of win rate. They knew how risky it is but the possible gains is massive once they landed a jackpot shitcoin.

You can’t blame them since there’s a lot of shitcoin that show this kind of massive profit like Shiba and Doge which are both useless and cheap at the same time before yet it was pump hard with just a hype even though there no changes at all. I also don’t recommend investing on shitcoins especially using significant amount of money but tossing few bucks on shitcoins is not really bad if are just trying your luck. It’s just like gambling in different way.

It’s OK to spread your risk & diversify a bit. Low cap alts can make you rich.

It’s not a good idea if that’s your only crypto though. If you have no btc, eth & this is your investment strategy then it’s a dumb one. If you like to do this as a side investment with a chance to make money then sure, why not.

Basically you can't stop someone from buying any coin for their long term investment ^{[including low volume coins/meme coins],} that's only because they will be responsible for every decision about that investment and fund. But there's nothing wrong with telling them why you don't recommend it, and you may need to give them an explanation.

It's true, 99% will fail because no real use cases can be expected. Most altcoin projects are pure speculation and manipulation, so it's best to avoid especially those that don't have high trading volume. Even the top 10 altcoin will not guarantee big profits.

The only mistake that you are making if you buy coins on erroneous plans is wasting your money and a huge chance of loss. Yes buying some coins on low prices does work, because it has the potential to provide high profits for you, but there are also extreme risks involved with this investment. There are thousands of different low cap coins out there, and it's almost certain that 99% of them will completely fail and become worthless. The other 1% could become valuable, but the problem is that you don't know which one will succeed and which one will fail. So when you invest in a low cap coin, there's a high chance that you'll lose all your money. Getting into altcoins is pure lottery.

Being new to "crypto" means you can be easily lead by "influencers" who speak of massive
profits awaiting in the next bull run. The trouble is picking the winning alt, if there will be any.

24 months is a very long time in the world of altcoins, their success depends on their popularity,
and they can be quickly replaced by a newer project which could gain favour and attract attention

If altcoins bull happen in 2024/2025 season that means the investors that lock the money up in altcoins will have joy for the decision they have take now. I see nothing that is wrong in such type of investment for who like to wait for bull because things can change for the pump coins, only if they still exist at 2025 and not to turn out scam.

You're speaking as if "altcoins" is just one or a few coins. We literally have thousands and thousands of altcoins — it's not as if all altcoins go up in bull markets; you still have to pick the right ones that wouldn't die before you actually reach bull season.

It's a hit or miss with that strategy but good luck to her.

We know what will be the next bull run would look like just as the past but it can be more different again. She may be right or wrong with what she's doing right now but, it's totally too risky.

You are right, it has happened before but projects with less than 20,000$ volume won't survive in a bear market, this has also happened before, it happened in 2018 bear market and it will happen this time too, what is wrong with projects that has over one million trading volume in a bear market? Such project won't have a hard time surviving through the bear market and it won't stop them from making 10x or 20x gains.

Everyone should really have Btc and Eth in their investment portfolio, and one can eventually choose a dozen altcoins, invest a small amount of money and take a risk with such an investment with the hope that the gamble will pay off in the end.
It is true that some altcoins have greatly increased in value in the past, but many more altcoins have failed.
Personally, I invested in some promising altcoins in 2017, but I didn't manage to make any profit with any of them.
However, I understand the logic of those who later joined the crypto market and realize that it is no longer realistic for the value of btc or eth to increase 100 times and more, and they want to take risks for the sake of higher possible earnings.

It may be because they don't have much knowledge about cryptocurrency and how it is work out.who knows? Many people that buy those kind of shitcoins and tokens it all because it was suggested to them by some people who convinced them that it is only those type project that can make them rich and because they eager to make in short term, may be blinded those words. And again sometimes it all depend on the people that behind the project team to determine whether the project is good or not,but the best coin for investment is Bitcoin.

Seriously, many projects will die in this bear market. So don't be blinded by aim of getting rich and invest your money in shitcoins. It will be better for to invested in bitcoin and get whatever profit it brings than losing it all. There's a saying that says halve bread is better than none. Let wise, and take a good steps for our investment.
