Anyone not looking for short term profit can still buy at the current price. I still have the believe that Bitcoin will go higher after the halving and we might wish we had entered when it was $60k. If you follow the news, you will see how deep Bitcoin popularity have gone with El Salvador, Central African Republic making it a legal tender and there are also other countries like Argentina showing serious interest in Bitcoin. These are indication that Bitcoin is getting bigger by the day hence it will be difficult to dump it completely. Therefore, I think now is still a great time to buy and hold.
There is no doubt that buying Bitcoin isn't bad for those willing to hold it for a long time apart from the time when Bitcoin is at its peak in the cycle and is about the take a U-turn because the cycle resets and Bitcoin and the whole market turns back towards the bear market if someone buys in such a situation, they will have to wait for a complete cycle for their investment to turn into profit which means that they won't lose anything but their waiting time will be extended.
This is why, it is much better if someone invests earlier because they will get to take profit during the bull run and be able to prepare for the bear market after the cycle resets which isn't possible if you enter the market very late.
