I think this article was drafted because it projects crypto in a bad way rather than actually causing huge losses. It’s a small part of their entire fund. And it happens.

I am pretty sure they also owned some stocks like BedBath and Beyond or others which also went bankrupt and caused the fund to lose money however they never write articles about that only when it deals with crypto. I guess negative crypto news produces more clicks and viewers.

One of the largest Pension plans in the world situated at Canada the Ontario Teachers' Pension plans has written off the total Investment the have pilled up in the collapsed/bankrupt FTX exchange in their report the suggested it will be treated as potential fraud
imagine investing huge amounts of money into something you dont even understand.

This is a pure gambling. How will someone invest huge money on something you don't know anything about. I love crypto, I love to trade but I take it slowly with just little capital since I'm still learning how to be a good trader.

Im slightly amazed they are using pension funds for crypto investment, especially in a concentrated way like this.    I dont know I like the index type 'spread' of crypto investment but it can at least say its not relying on only one entity where as this appears to have been a house of cards hoping this genius was for real and it would pay dividends.     Also I agree its a massive fund and as a percentage of their investments 95m wont qualify as even 1% but to suffer absolute loss is never acceptable as an outcome and this will show as burnt fingers in the industry for years I guess.

What Loyce said basically but I dont think they entirely understand the difference in risk.
