Recently, CoinMarketCap has been hacked. Hackers exploited Coinmarketcap's website and opened Popups, where customers had to verify wallets like MetaMask etc., which ist scam. Be very careful when you are visiting CoinMarketCap

CoinMarketCap confirmed its hack already and said to be very careful. Hackers managed to put up Popups, a phishing tactic, where customers were asked to enter wallet details, which was an exploit by hackers.

I stumbled upon this today seff , the hackers were able to steal almost $45k from various users . Just imagine the amount wey some folks loss in the process .

If you read what they wrote in the malicious pop-up prompting users to verify their wallet , you will know once that is scam because why we they demand for wallet connection for folks to maintain full access to their coinmarketcap (but still no way some folk won’t fall for it ) . And beside the stuff pop up from no  where .

This is why always tell people not to ever connect their wallet to any site , even if you are bounty hunter or airdrop farmer always separate your wallet , make sure the one you store your asset is different from the one you are using for those bounty hunting and stuff.

It hasn't been discussed on the local board and I'm only knowing it now so it's valid, no need discouraging it.

Whatever update being discussed on the general board can also be discussed on the local board for those of us that are only active on few boards.

It should be an easy fix for CoinmarketCap although this act has shown how vulnerable they're. I haven't click on that page for ages since I stopped trading.

I only make sure I did not register an account on the site but using it without email. Also I can easily avoid any phishing scam there.

It should be an easy fix for CoinmarketCap although this act has shown how vulnerable they're.

Make we try dey avoid links dem wey we see online wey dey tell us to provide details and make we dey try dey careful with who we dey share our details with online so dat we no go enter wahala with our wallet or our account. although i see say coin base dey try dey on d mata so soon dem go end d whole wahala so we no need boda too much about d wahal but try ro make sure say we dey careful and protect our self.
