I had this feeling when I lost big for the first time in gambling, not with trading. Somehow I came out of it. There is lot to go forward and achieve in life, we should not go down. What you've done is really good. When you were able to share it, you feel relieved and relaxed.

Based on the way op have shared the incident it looks like he had been trading and he could've been making mere profit out of trading. To make better money he could've shown interest into gambling. This could've caused him to loss big.
