After all, the biggest contradiction lies within cryptocurrencies: its value lies in the trust of the community, losing trust will cause the currency to collapse. This is nothing more than a postmodern theory: there is no real value, only a narrative of value created by people and together believe it or not - because a cryptocurrency is essentially lines of code. code on the computer.

This all started with the issue on the MEXC exchange and I had no choice than to look for help on the MEXC telegram group and someone did helped me out, and later she started texting me on telegram about crypto discussions and stuff.

She asked questions about which projects I am currently buying and if I know anything about crypto mining and these brought us good discussions for a while, later she claimed she no longer work for MEXC that she is now a Binance Employee..at first it makes sense because this discussion lasted for months.

I let all this in because she helped, I never let my guide down in any way, I was also waiting for a possible scam habit like referring me to a link, sending me a suspicious link, or a copycat website to steal my fund, I don't trust anyone online.

Fast forward to days ago, I brought up the issue surrounding Binance and SEC, for discussion sake, you know, to learn one or two things, to my own surprise, she knew nothing about that, this was where things aren't looking right, she never knew that Binance got sued.

That's when I started asking questions, and she end up blocking me, I guess we are having those good conversations for months to make me lose my guard, she must be waiting for a perfect time to use me and rob me.

Since she once helped me, she planned to use that on me and take advantage of me I guess, this is where I learned that not following what is happening in the crypto space as an investor is wrong.

It's good to always stay informed about what's happening around crypto lately, get a crypto news app on your phone or subscribe to crypto news feeds online to stay informed, this person was busted because she knew nothing that's presently happening with the exchange company she claimed she is working for.
You did a great job by not falling for her trap and asking her questions about issues with the Binance. Again, we shouldn't be falling for anyone we meet online who wants to be our friend. I know most people are still good, but nobody can be trusted. Perhaps she assumed you were a newbie into a cryptocurrency you don't use, but it is a good idea that we should be following Crypto news online to avoid all these scammers online.

Even though you may feel close enough to trust one another, Telegram should be the last place you put your trust in anyone. I always kept it in the back of my mind that everyone on the app but me was a scammer. Even if my brother messages me on Telegram and I am very certain that he is the one, I will still be hesitant to trust him within the context of the app. I've been scammed multiple times in my early days of cryptocurrency, so I find it hard to believe that I ever trusted someone who told me that sending him money would enable him to purchase a coin I wanted so he can send them to my wallet. LOL i fell for it and sent him money twice. It was a sad experience though.

Her plan is very good and it's a good thing she didn't succeed since the outcome would have been altogether different. Beginners should take note of this tale and remember never to believe anyone claiming he would like to assist them, whether they are found on that app or elsewhere. Scammers should be avoided, and keeping up with cryptocurrency news is a smart idea.

It's good to always stay informed about what's happening around crypto lately, get a crypto news app on your phone or subscribe to crypto news feeds online to stay informed, this person was busted because she knew nothing that's presently happening with the exchange company she claimed she is working for.
The truth is that, scammers are the dumbest set of people and in most cases, if you are not covered in greed that becloud your sense of judgment or you are ignorant of the happeninhappeningscryptocurrency market only then the scammers can easily get you.

But once you can put in a little effort to check on the scheme you will easily point out the red flags when you are having a conversation with a scammer, we have busted a lot of scammers just by having good and adequate information just like in your cases.

scammers a bunch of stupid people who will fool even more stupid people. Then they will get the target easily. Remember that scammers are constantly evolving and have many methods. It's not impossible for you or even other people to fall into their trap. Greed will always be a loophole for scammers to manipulate anyone. Make sure nothing escapes inspection or analysis. Scammers are easy to spot, I often find scammers trying to reach me.

I don't know why people are calling the person stated by @OP a scammer when in fact the person just blocked @OP from contacting her.  There is no scam attempt done or whatsoever,  aside from that we only assume that the person is not really a Binance employee, what if she really is. And probably there is another reason why that person blocked @OP.

Anyway, I also agree that we should be vigilant and never trust any person we came across online.  We can chat and have a civil discussion but we must not put our guard down.

Scammers are not dumb but they are evil since they aim to take advantage of any person they come across if they found them naive.

But once you can put in a little effort to check on the scheme you will easily point out the red flags when you are having a conversation with a scammer, we have busted a lot of scammers just by having good and adequate information just like in your cases.

I agree, when it is to good to be true then it is possibly a scam.  When someone sends us a malicious link then it is probably a scam, but when people block us and that person never even sends any malicious link then, how can we call them a scam?

Since she once helped me, she planned to use that on me and take advantage of me I guess, this is where I learned that not following what is happening in the crypto space as an investor is wrong.

Nowadays, there are some online scammers who employ very cunning tactics whenever they want to defraud someone. They trick the target into thinking they are completely trustworthy, spend more days and months gaining the target's trust, and as a result, some people are more willing to fall for their scammer. Therefore, if a fraudster has gained someone's trust, they can quickly take advantage of that trust to commit fraud with little to no effort. As a result, people should always be on the lookout online because even longtime friends might turn out to be filthy.

It's good to always stay informed about what's happening around crypto lately, get a crypto news app on your phone or subscribe to crypto news feeds online to stay informed, this person was busted because she knew nothing that's presently happening with the exchange company she claimed she is working for.

Keeping up with the current news is one of the easiest methods to combat con artists, particularly the most recent tactics they may be employing at any given moment. People who stay current with news are much less likely to become victims of scams. I will therefore concur that it is crucial for everyone to ascertain where they will be obtaining the most recent cryptocurrency-related information.

Scammers will be able to only scam people who are not updated, that is scam people who they know more than not people who know more than them. For scammers to scam people who are more updated and know more than regular people, the scam method needs to be more.brilliant and sophisticated and this can only be carried out by the more intelligent scammers.

As a newbie, knowledge gotten by staying updated can save you for common scammers.

I think the first major red flag was when the help who helped you out, and later wrote you chatting you up about crypto stuff. Why would a person who supposedly is there to answer questions about things you don’t fully understand later chat you up. That’s the red flag there. She wanted to use the fact that she Initially helped you out   Perhaps she was riding on the fact that she would gain your trust after helping you out and then pulling the rug out from under you.
I think this is a very good way of showing how doing your own research helps a lot.

And maybe she's not a she but a he. This type of building up rapport with the potential victim is also becoming common. These scammers/hackers are taking time to get the person's trust that they're conversing. I do also receive these type of messages in different messaging apps. I don't even know how these people are getting my contact but as long as it's on many platforms, there will always those people that will gather data and information of anyone that they can. As soon as someone messages me and asks me about investment for which their scripts are almost identical. I am not wasting my time to talk to them and blocks them as soon as possible. I can't believe that you've spent  your precious time for months talking to that person.

Asking for assistance in a Telegram group is equivalent to putting yourself in the line of sight of scammers to be eaten. When you post a question in a Telegram group, you will immediately start receiving private messages (PMs) from people pretending to be group admins who want to assist you.

Don't assume that the scammer's inability to stay current was a terrible quality about him because he pretended to work for Binance. As for the scammer, he actually has his moves well thought out. He doesn't want to push you into his game plan because doing so can lead you to mistakenly believe that he is a scammer. Instead, he preferred to earn your trust before carrying out his strategy.

Keep in mind that scammers can only be nice on Telegram when their goal is to dupe people. You can't be chatting up a stranger on Telegram without them intending to scam you one day. The question you need to ask yourself is, why would the scanner immediately hurry to block you after learning that you had discovered the truth about him(that he is not a Binance employee) if he loves the friendship in the same manner that you do? This is to let you aware that nobody on the Telegram group should be trusted.

This all started with the issue on the MEXC exchange and I had no choice than to look for help on the MEXC telegram group...

What do you mean you had no choice? I haven't used MEXC exchange but I suppose they have a built-in support system. If there is no live chat, perhaps there is a feature for users to create a ticket and inform the platform of certain issues. If both are non-existent, I assume they indicate their official channels in their own site. They probably provide their email or Twitter or Facebook or other official communication lines. So why do you have to go to Telegram and ask for help? Shouldn't we always transact through official channels?
