I'm definitely a junkie; I admit that I look in Japan for Bitflyers. Saw a lot of five once but I couldn't get the purchase to go through because of restrictions on sending items with currency on them out of the country. You could worry about me...  Grin

Anyway, I started seeing the prices being asked for physical bitcoins. Here are some samples I thought you might find interesting:

I see the selling prices but are people really paying these insane prices?

Now this is In-depth research.

Awesome Steely!

I forget bitcoin is an international phenomenon.

Import restrictions and the possibility of theft at customs make the distribution of these coins extremely challenging.

Premiums are very very high in Japan.

Looks like an awesome untapped market.

Again, fantastic insight and research from Steeley here.
I wonder how Satori's are valued in Japan.

Regarding the import risk, seems to me a combination of selling a few items with a follow-up personal Japan-trip is the way to go. Shocked

Having worked with ChiBitCTy over the years to find one-offs and obscure physical cryptos, we have come to the conclusion it is mostly a translation barrier when seeking these coins out online...

So an in-person trip to Japan would be great!! Cheesy

We need a "Bitcoin 2025 Tokyo" conference Cool

Kryptowerk and MJ,  A Japan trip would be perfect, especially if we returned with bitflyers, and Mrs Bitcoins

I didn't show you the Satoris for sale. They are not cheap, but they are going for what you might see on Ebay USA. This is to say, they are not being listed with the outrageous prices of silver shields and other common coins.

I bought an interesting Rhodium Bitcoin. I will post it when I return from a trip. It made it to to my house with no problem. Great coin.
