This is why you already need to be careful before clicking. Sometimes i also found some links where i need to visit. Then i just copy those link and open it though other browser Where no signed in with Twitter. Even i do same for Facebook and telegram too. But sometimes malware might be downloaded with that click!  So always need to scan link before visiting like virus total. Otherwise they will be steal our assets

This is one reason why never click any DM or tweet links because of the rampant malware injection that happens on social media.  I tried it once but I was lucky to have an internet security installed on my PC and blocked the possible malware injection.

I also skipped any unreputable or unverified project that advertises an airdrop and the need to connect the wallet to claim that airdrop.

I think It'll be wise idea to know more about the project in details with their prospective but the most of people who work or hunt airdrops, are newbie. Have less knowledge what to do and what not to. Thats the matter

Why didn’t you check Twitter audit Report of that Account? Followers can be bought with money, that isn’t a new thing in social media profile holder. Account can be verified for money also. But don't trust any verified account or the account with lots of followers. And other part is, stop clicking link when you logged in your account. If you want, then copy the link and paste another brower for test. Such way may help you a little for Being scam.

These are not real fans but all followers are either bot got from smmpanel or twitter account has been hacked. These attacks are become normal now adays. we must do all safety task before connecting wallet. Actually when we connect our wallet, it's promt for signin and there is hidden fee message we cannot view, when we signed in our wallet reset to zero. We should install extension wallet guard or any other extension which show the full message and show us hidden charges while signing any transaction. sorry for your loss but it's your fault too that you connected your wallet without any research. If you see scam accusation thread, you will find many stories of hacking wallet.

20,000$ is very big amount and I think one user having large fund got victim of this hackers. we should never connect our Main wallet. If we want to hunt airdrop we should use sperate wallet with small fee only. Thanks for your warning too to help newbie because most if newbie connect wallet without research.

What you suggested wouldn't make a difference, it's not just about clicking that link but it's about interacting with the page that gives them access to your accounts or maybe your computer if they can inject a malware into your PC through the page when you interact with it. However, the thing is, we should avoid using websites of any kind that we don't trust because any website can be a scam these days, and we need to be careful from every single one of them.

Op they literally set a bot which works for scammers to make the available amount withdraw instantly after connecting your wallets with their fake websites or links. That issue is not me but still critical mainly for new comers who are in hunt of airdrops for free money. There's no solution except carefulness from such kind of things. And 20,000$ is a lot. Don't connect such wallet with such amount anywhere even if they are real
