BVN AND NIN SCAMS.

The federal government has mandated every wallets accounts to be linked to individuals BANK VERIFICATION NUMBER (BVN) or NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (NIN) on or before 29th of February which has become enforceable pending the deadline for restrictions on affected accounts.
My problem is not with the licensed  banks but with other platform that allow deposits either for bill payment because as a shop owner and POS operators I have one or two platform for data reselling. What I do is to fund the account and use it to sell data for my customers in the shop.  Now I was asked to update my BVN.
Now my question is this, is it right to give out our BVN to those platforms, don't u  think fraudsters might take advantage of this policy as to come up with different platfroms requiring BVN and NIN just to hack or compromise our bank accounts?

Privacy has been the reason people are advised not to provide their personal details for third parties. If the platform you want to get verified are legit and not for scammers, I do not see any reason you should not provide necessary information following CBN directives. About scam and account compromising, learn more about how to avoid them, they are not new but they are avoidable.

If your personal information are given to scammers, then it can be used against you or in a way that your account can be compromised.
