Will Base L2 first Meme Coin Flip Solana's Bonk?

What's happening right now in the crypto space in terms of the various narratives? Because I have observed in the past weeks, meme coins have been cooking a huge run up. From Bitcoin ordinals  meme tokens to meme tokens on Solana printing out.

Also I've taken notice of some of the meme coins launched on new blockchain like Bonk on Solana and now I have been watching Brett which is the first meme coin on Base L2 chain and I would like to know what people think of it.

It's said that history often repeats itself. Does that apply to crypto? Does anyone think Brett will experience a first mover advantage like Bonk had on Solana chain? What narratives are you all following right now?

It seems okay that there is some risk when investing here, with his 1 billion supply, he may hit 1$ ATH this bull run if the development is good and it's not bad with the low
cap that he has which is more or less 2M$.

I honestly don't get the point of memecoins.  They literally offer nothing in terms of solving a solution.  It's more a greed driven ponzi of tokens and coins.  Everyone is literally just buying them because they think some other poor sucker will buy it for more, literally the only reason.  With that being said because the crypto market is nuts sometimes, there's a possibility that it makes people tons of money.  Just know eventually someone will be left holding the bag.

Bonk token is not new it has been there since last year it already gained 5000% only those who will have lambo from this token are those who bought it at a very cheap price but right now if you are going to invest in a Meme token like this it's pretty risky and it can drop so fast it's not the same as coins like Bitcoin and ETH or Solana that don't have huge declines. It is just the same as the Pepe token that recently increased in price and is now still in the downtrend.

A first project in a specific category is always special, but that doesn't mean we should compare it with another super hype project and expect a similar result. Some of the solana projects have a higher marketcap than the whole base ecosystem, TVL. So the comparison won't be perfect that way but for being the first meme coin in that layer 2 network it can do well when meme hype arrives once again. Till then, there is nothing we can say for sure about whether it has the potential to flip bonk or not.

Meme projects are good for one thing and one thing only; big price increase for a short period of time. That's what we are seeing right now and people are reacting to it based on that, we all know that it is not going to be all that easy, it's just clearly not that case. I think it's clear that we are going to end up with some good stuff here and there, but it's not going to be all that easy, we should probably not see something like this easily.

I think it should be pointed out that we are going to end up with something much larger, and that should not be easy. I think it's clear that we are going to end up with a problem, a big one, if we think that memes are good and we should all invest into them just based on the last few weeks.

You're right! Just for the same reason of being the first memecoin on Base L2 and the predictions of it doing well. Since the hype is yet to show up, I assumed it's best to have a bag before the hype so it could swell in my bag as well. I got a size of it on Bitget after I read some good responses to my question. Eventually it's those who are holding that could benefit from any surge in price.
