I think the stories that we hear from other people's big wins are not always something that changes the way we gamble, and what we have to understand is in terms of sensation and pleasure, or what it means is that if other people feel the sensation of a big win then I think it is less likely for us to change our gambling methods such as becoming more aggressive for example, because usually something that can change someone's behavior or way of gambling is when they have experienced a big win in gambling which after that situation then the next time they gamble with a small budget amount then they will feel bored and they will not be too interested because they are gambling with a small amount of risk.

That is what I know and I have also seen or even experienced it myself that when I managed to get a big win with high risk then the next time I gamble again then I am not interested in gambling by taking a small risk, and this is also the reason why the level of addiction in gambling is different, simply put if they have hit a big jackpot then usually the next approach to gambling will be more aggressive because they want to get the same amount of winnings or much bigger.

Am not always moved by stories of jackpot winnings thou it is  very much an exciting moment for the winner were every one will merely wished that they are the one that won without considering the risk involvement so funny, the least I could do is to celebrate with the winner but I don't allow it to affect my gambling habits because it can't be very dangerous for me in the sense that there will urge to allocate more fund to gambling than it should be based on financial ability and when it doesn't play to your favor the regret will becomes too huge to be handle, so the advice Will be that, you shouldn't be carried away by such stories and get mislead on the process, stay within your reach or lane.
