I invested heavily in my IRA, with mixed results. People talk about making a million on bitcoin, so naturally, I figured something that goes up twice as fast… boom! 800 shares later, I learned that the price also goes down twice as fast. However, by grid trading and using options, I have felt pretty good about it as an investment. I have grown my share count out to 875 in a few months and no tax bill until I cash out. I am going to build a Roth on the same principle, no taxes on bitcoin gains.
This is a big reason that bitcoin is poised for growth. People like you and me can now invest with retirement savings, even if indirectly.
Let’s face it, everyone is a little hesitant at first. Then come the gains. Any investment should come with a clear strategy. So, please feel free to share your thoughts, are ETFs a good investment? Are they good for the eco system? I know I was super disappointed when Hong Kong started trading ETFs. I had read that the market was very small for ETFs there( people prefer individual stocks), but the price collapse that day … oof!
