Taking advantage of this thread, if anyone hasn't seen the Kentucky Derby race that was held about a month ago, it's a race to watch even if you're not a horse racing fan.

Mystik Dan was not among the favorites and he won.

I really wish that horse racing would go the way of dog racing here in the United States.  As an animal lover I'm highly against betting of this nature.  It really kind of amazes me how many people are willing to sort of just look the other way with how badly many horses are injured during these kind of races.  Let alone all the shit they are pumping in to them, like steroids and what not.  I just wish more people cared about animals like they should be cared aobut.
