How Do You Decide Between Over or Under in Betting?

This is an easy selection, we only have to see how was the scores from the past games on those teams, if those are teams who used to score commonly in their past games then we can have an idea about how many goals over/under bet on.

I like the fact that we can bet in the score, as OP mention, we don't need to bet on a certain team, only on the amount of goals. And we can bet in other factors like red cards, or corners. That's cool to know.

For me more easier to predict the winner than predict number of goals. And sometimes after fast one or two goal winning team kills the game.
But sometimes there are games, where both teams scores a lot or consider a lot - they are good for such prediction. Here your strategy would be ok, but mostly bookie know about it to and the number of goals is big enough or odds too small.

In as much as I don't use that option often, when ever I use it, what I look at is the performance of both team in their previous match and also look at the performance of the individuals team with other teams in past matches, I lookout to see if there was a changes made in players since the last match and I still consider the advantage of playing at home. Despite all of those factors put in consideration, I still don't get lucky as much as I thought I would, that's why I mostly use the option for either home win or away win or I bet on draw which would have a big odd.

I think that's the basic things everyone makes use , with the informations of the past you can determine the outcome of the future but this doesn't work everytime. If I had to choose between one of them. I'd go with overs because unders can be very tricky. A game can have an odd of 1.13 as the under 3.5 option but after playing they might end up scoring four goals, Those odds are nothing but a trap.

Buddy I think your explanation of under 2.5 isn't quite appropriate. Under 2.5 simply means that the match must not produce more than 2 goals and not that it must have 2 goals. So if you stake under 2.5 goals and the result at the end the goals are either 2 goals, 1 goal or no goal at all, then you have won the bet since it didn't go beyond 2 goals. I hope you understand it now?

So if you bet under 3.5, it means not more than 3 goals,
If you under 4.5, it means not more than 4 goals will be produced in the match.

Before I place a bet, I always look at the weather, whether key players are missing, referee name, tournament type, and what kind of tactics the teams use.

Lol... Well you may have a point or your reason but if a team is a goal scoring side, they can still score goals. What matters is if the team are scoring team.

I also use AI tools to compare attacking strength and match history, which helps me get a better idea of the “expected goals” (XG). While there are websites available for this, I prefer using AI because it lets me analyze the data based on my own preferences.

Like I said above, there are teams and leagues that are known for producing goals. So you consider that. Generally, the league too matters. Like Seria A is not quite a goal producing league so must gamblers will bet on under for lesser goals). In such league like EPL, Manchester city is a scoring side, likewise real Madrid in LA LIGA. So betting on more goals in those leagues can be reasonable.

Like I'm explaining too, over means betting for more goals. So the secret there is to search for teams who score more goals. Teams that are attacking sides that have forward strikers that are goal hungry will score more goals than teams who play defensive game.

Even when I lose, I learn something new. For me, that’s a big part of the fun.

That is the way gambling should be. Catch the fun and enjoy the game but that you have to do considering your risk appetite.

The tips are:

Under goals betting is predicting lesser goals from a match then it depends on the goals you are predicting on like under 0.5 means 0.0, under 1.5, under 2.5 etc. You need to look for teams that don't produce much goals.

Likewise for over goals, it is for more goals in a match. You need to look for teams and leagues that produce much goals.

IMO under or over betting requires some sort of analysis on the teams, but it doesnt
always lead to results.

I dont do bets on soccer or football but I do bet on Tennis and Under of over bets
quite a bit. I find its easier to get results this way rather than trying to predict
an outright winner.

There are often multiple choice odds like under/over 19.5, 20.5, 21.5 and 22.5
or more with increasing odds for each.

I think its a lot trickier in a generally low scoring sport like football where the results
are very often 0-0 or 1-0.
