Hi i have never bought anything using Uniswap, theres one token named STRDY I'd like to invest and it is not listed in any of the CEXs. Can anyone advise me on how to use uniswapV3 to buy this and how to store. Thanks!!!!!

It's a very straight forward process, even simpler than using CEXes. You visit Uniswap, link your MetaMask, OKX or whatever wallet you're using and then select the coin you want to buy and the one you want to pay with. It should later show you the fees, and all the informations you need to know below, If you think there's nothing wrong, you can proceed and sign the transaction.

Not related to your question but: If you're going to buy a coin that's not listed on any CEX, you should probably question whether it's really worth buying.

Absolutely, but getting in before a token or coin is 'listed' is part of what early adopters get to do; higher risk but possibly ultimately higher profit if all goes well?

Once a CEX gets hold of it that is a late period of early in some ways... )

There was one that I bought in the past. It has not been listed on any centralized exchange till now. Ite price plummetting and I lost so much. It is better to go for coins that will also be listed on centralized exchanges immediately during launch. But this is also very risky as I have tried it before and also lost so much also. I prefer good coins like bitcoin while gambling with altcoins. I can not advise anyone to go for a shit coin like this.

Just as how the others said is not that hard, all you have to do is to access uniswap then connect any Dex wallet of your choice . Then you can search for the name of the token and stuff, but hope you know the risk attached in what you want to do , because buying coin that haven't gotten listed yet is kinda risky , I will just advise you invest what you can afford to lose and make sure your emotions is In check .

Take note @OP there's two STRDY on uniswap be careful which one you are planning to buy.
According to Coingecko it seems this is the legit contract address: 0xaeb3607ec434454ceb308f5cd540875efb54309a
The other one with 3890 last 4 characters might be the fake one so be careful you should check first and do deep research first before you buy.

You first need the correct contract address of the token because a newly launched token like the one you mentioned will likely not be in the "token list" of DEXes like Uniswap. It's a lagged list which means it would be slow to update unless the token is popular but I'm guessing it's not.

Once you have the correct contract address, you'd want to visit the uniswap dapp and paste it there. You will be able to follow the prompt because it's a pretty straightforward process if you've traded on a CEX before. Don't forget you will need ETH for gas fees.

Most of those coins on Dex receives quite a low demand and for that there value will definitely keep decreasing daily, that is why it is not Worth holding those coins for a long time base, because at the end of the day, the fact that their are so unstable make those coins on unis wap so useless unless for a few of them.

Obviously, Uniswap is a DEX for Ethereum blockchain. With all of the tips that has been said on this thread of yours, you should have the idea already whether it's worth it or not to hold it. I'm not sure if that's a memecoin that you're trying to buy before it pumps but ask yourself if it's really worth it at all and check the fees at all times if it's not that much. Since it is an ERC20 token, it's not going to be exempted with the potential bump fees when you do some swap there. It's based on my experience so should you buy that, check it before proceeding.

Easily go to the UniswapV3 and select "token" button on the buy section and paste the legit contract address on the search token input



it will prompt you with the name of the token and select, it.

be on the lookout tho, so many scam out there, I personally wouldn't risk trading low volume alt but you do you.

Yeah, that's the gist of it. You either get gud or get nothing out of it, or better yet - a big red minus.

Not hard for us who already have an experience but for him it is, and that is the reason why he is here. Navigating Uniswap looks easy but we don't know what if he still don't know how to create a crypto/DEX wallet, that will be used to connect on the exchange?

Once we are already there, there are also things like slippage (only to name a few) that we will encounter and set manually. He said the coin is only not listed on CEX but it is listed already on DEX and that is Uniswap. It does not mean though that there is no risk anymore. There are still, and this is how your advice will go but when we invest what we can afford to lose, that already means that we are in control of our emotion. Intense emotions can still kick in later on but it's not really a big deal anymore even if we lose, as the amount that we lose is only small.

How do you obtain WETH first?

Once you swap your Ethereum on Uniswap, it will automatically wrap it from ETH to WETH, and vice versa. You don't need to do an additional step to convert your ETH to the WETH. It's all  has been done through the Uniswap smart contract router.

Just simply swap your ETH through Uniswap, then you get STRDY.
