Avalon 1126Pro-S-68 has stopped working and now restarts all the time

Hello,

this is my first post here and I first tried to find some answers online and in this forum.

My Avalon 1126Pro-S-68 turned off about a week ago (I got a notice from f2pool) and I restartet it manually.

Since then it's not hashing and restarts about every minute.

I've tried to find a new firmware update but the links posted leading to Canaan do not work anymore and I can't find it on their page.

I would be very grateful if you could help me

The logs show pretty weird Echu only shows 2 numbers and ECMM is abnormal pointing to the MM board so there might be a problem with the control board or connection between the control board, power supply, and the hashboards.

Would you mind to try to clean up the unit first, disassembling the unit, and try to clean the connectors and terminals also don't forget to clean the busbar with sandpaper as maybe there is some rust clean them with isopropyl alcohol then assemble the unit and make sure all connectors and screw are tight.
After that, run it again and check for possible changes in the logs.


If the issue is still there then possible your MM board is broken and needs to be replaced.

Well, I don't know what is the cause of your miner's issue but without trying my suggestion above we might find some clues what cause of this issue.

I don't know if it's just a firmware issue but you should do it first before touching any hardware from your unit.
The only problem is there's no available firmware from Canaan download page for this unit you might need to contact them directly to request for firmware. I believe they will ask for DNA and unit serial number for verification.

Another problem (maybe the main issue?) I've noticed:

all four fans show a RPM - between:
3623
3647
3621
3623

and

6189
6184
6124
6159

but only one fan on the front is moving. How can I check if the fans are not working?

Next thing I will do now is check the connection of each fan to hopefully find the problem.


update:

I've unplugged the fan cables and have reconnected the cables crosswise. Now the fans are running again and the miner is hashing.

but for whatever reason I'm haning at 53 THS.

I'll reboot it manually (switching it on and off) and will check if this is going to change anything.

Awesome you fixed the issue sometimes the issue is caused by fans just like on Antminer units but next time you troubleshoot always do it first on the software before trying to fix the hardware.

Anyway, about the error logs, I think better to download the miner log technical guidance to understand those errors and logs.
