The method of doing things keep evolving and modifying. The traditional method of match fixing  has really changed to a great extent. Not a whole number of persons are needed to fix a match. One or more of the following can do the job;

• The coach: He may decide to bench a good player that will get a goal or a good defender.
• A player (preferably a striker): To make him not to score.
• The goalkeeper: To be ineffective in the goal.

In pro leagues for every sport, you'll rarely see them. I don't know if there is still some that's happening and go unnoticed because of how much big money that's being staked for every match and the share that they might get. While it can involve some players without the knowledge of the opponent and other teams.

So how does the information being disseminated so easily before the match? Because some of the matches can be fixed but happened to turned out the opposite and we know the reaction of this when it happens that games didn't go as planned, we periodically say that the match there will be winning but in some extent of there are lapses from the players or goalkeeper then it would occurred that game has gone the opposite hence there are people who would lose huge amount for having to stake high. Again if there are information going round about the fixed match what do you think could be their offense either stop sack or sanction for some specific duration of time.

Once a match is being under party (s) understanding (agreement) on what results the match may become in a specific period of time or at the end of the match, it has become a fixed match because either both teams or individual players are limited or instructed to perform a particular task in the game.

So then, it is possible to negotiate a fixed match with just a team or even an individual but with the fact you can not determine the possessions of others involved, it is better to negotiate with the teams or the major key holders of the event to make it more possible else, most fixed matches fails.
