Today I did a very small transaction and ETA on my wallet suggested I made use of 3.2 sats/vbyte and it would arrive in the next block. However I didn't make use of 3.2 sats/vbyte  I first went to check the MEMPOOL and I noticed 5 sats/vbyte for lowest priority and I made use of 5.2 sats/vbyte incase fees increased but I was a little wrong. I was supposed to stick to 3.2 sats/vbytes but I didn't since I just thought 5.2 was ok since it was still around US working hours.

Some people may prefer to use the low fee and prefer to wait. But I think what that is most important is to use the wallet that supports replace-by-fee. The are many bitcoin wallets that are supporting RBF.

Yeah that's true but not everyone understands what RBF means especially newbies and some can't even tell if their transaction supports it or not . The fact is is always better to make use of an average fee instead of trying to cut fees and making use of a fee that will leave your transaction stuck on the MEMPOOL for literally days .

Sometimes some wallets don't even support CPFP and so the receiver may just think that the sender hasn't sent the coins only a few wallets mostly open source ones like Electrum display RECEIVING when someone sends some coins before they are confirmed some other wallets especially custodial will only display a balance addition after 1 or 2 confirmations.

Some people also do not know what fee rate (sat/vbyte) is. They are using the rate the wallet they are using are recommending them. Some wallet overestimate, some underestimate, while some can be kind of accurate like Unstoppable wallet. Information and knowledge is very important. You did what you did because you know about bitcoin and fee rate. And I am not going to be surprised if you used the wallet that is supporting RBF also.

Infact sometimes, depending on the situations and wallets, even open source wallets like ELECTRUM can pick a random wrong fee at first.

In Bitcoin, we know the saying "Don't trust, verify"

Verify wallets.
Verify given fee rates from wallet software, double check it with Bitcoin mempool observers to make sure you don't overpaid.

• When checking with Bitcoin mempool observer, do it with at least two obsevers, not only one.
• Reason is sometimes one Bitcoin mempool observer has problem with its full node and can give you inaccurate information.

If you have used 2.1sat/vb then you wouldn't be facing this much issues and that's why you should be equipped with the right wallets for your crypto assets. Right now I advise you to pay the $29 using Gpay or apple pay and then learn some basic things about bitcoin.

OP is facing difficulty cause it's looks like a lot hell of a tasks to make it successful while in reality it just a few simple tasks like setting up LN channel to pay via BTC for acceleration or the right wallet he wouldn't be in this place if that became right.

I haven't paid much attention to the details of decimals but let's say if it were 2.27sat/vb.

4.1 to 5.11 are pretty solid

2.1 to 2.99 are slow as fuck

3 to 4 are meh

And all of the above can change in an hour to  10 or more.
